Steve Buscemi Appreciation #1
Yeah, that's right.
Steve Buscemi. You may not recognize the name, but you'd definitely know the face and/or voice. He is one of the best actors out there and is highly underrated. Now, I am on a Steve kick as it is, but he's always been up there in favourite actors. And, I must say, after seeing him in Living in Oblivion, Trees Lounge and Reservoir Dogs (in that order) I've come to realize that he is rather sexy. Anyway, who else likes him? [ 07-31-2003: Message edited EdwardNortonGal ] __________________

THANK YOU ED GAL FOR STARTING THIS THREAD!!
I'm a pretty big Buscemi Fan too. He's such an amazing, talented guy and it's a shame he doesn't get the credit he deserves. I really liked what he did after 9/11. He used to be a fireman so he pitched in and helped out with the cleanup and helping everyone. I thought that was super sweet, and he didn't just announce "I'm famous! Lemme help!! Uh, wait..will this mess up my shoes?" I love the guy in Fargo!! And of course Reservoir Dogs...too bad he had to be pink, though. He didn't seem too happy about it! Yay!! I'm not alone!!
And I heard about him helping out. That has got to be one of the best things I've heard an actor do. Have you seen Trees Lounge? That movie is Steve at his best. I heard that he said that it was how his life would be if he had never left (I think it was) Jersey. __________________

I Steve Buscemi! I think the first movie I ever watched with him in it was Fargo. But, I don't remember much of the movie so...
He was also pretty good in Ghostworld. And I thought he was hilarious in Armeggedon. __________________

Possibly one of the best supporting actors around - it's amazing how many movies this guy has cropped up in. I love him in Reservoir Dogs, Armageddon, most of the Coen Brothers movies, and however sick he is, Con Air.
Favourite Buscemi performance is The Big Lebowski, definitely one of my desert island movies. He can be funny, he can be horrible, he can be quirky, he can be serious, an all-round talented man. __________________

In a plane crash, but I'll let it slide.
You know, I'm surprised at the amount of people out there who not only love him as an actor (LOTS of people, once they put a name to the face) but I've met at least 3 other people who, like me, find him strangly sexy. __________________

He IS sexy, in a nonconventional (woohoo! over 3 syllables!) way. Glad I can admit it and not be smacked upside the head. I started to think he was sexy after seeing Ghost World and thought I was going nuts. Glad to see I'm not alone!

HeHe. Yes, he is the ultimate in unconventional sexiness.
I've been addicted to Reservoir Dogs since...*ponders*...Wednesday, I believe and since then, I've aquired the nickname Mrs. Pink from my lovely friend. *sigh* I swear, I can't spell today. 0_o __________________

Yes! A Steve Buscemi thread! I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks he is droolworthy . The first movie I saw him in was Armageddon. Then in Con Air. I didnt know his name and referred to him as 'That guy from Armageddon'. I started noticing his hotness after Reservoir Dogs. I then rushed out and rented Fargo,The big Lebowski, 28 days, Ghost World, Airheads, Domestic Disturbance and Desperado.
I watched Fargo with my friend and asked her if she thought Steve was hot. She looked at me like I was crazy and didnt say anything. I am desperatly looking for Living in Oblivion and Trees Lounge. I have looked everywhere and still cant find them! Aimee __________________

Okay, I have loved Steve since before I can even remember!!!!! He's an amazing actor no matter what the role! And I must say that I think his most classic moment ever on film is when he hosted SNL and did a sketch as The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland! I still quote it to this day!!! And I also agree about his sweetness with going back to voulenteer with the fire fighters!!! He is wonderful...and I'm so happy someone decided to make him a thread!! CONGRATS STEVE!
