I've never done a thread start before but here I go anyhow!

John Traveolta is one of my favorite all-time actors! he's been nominated for two Academy Awards, one for Pulp Fiction and the other for Saturday Night Fever. He's also worked on 8 films which have crossed the 100 million dollar mark.

My current favorite of his is A Love Song for Bobby Long

Who else loves him?

I loved him in Saturday Night Fever, Grease, The General's Daughter, and Civil Man.

The title comes from his trivia/bio at imdb:

"He frequently eats at Denny's in the middle of the night. Which is where he ate through the movie Lucky Numbers (2000)."

It's not one of his greatest but the trivia from the movie certainly works for the title regardless of how much it's not his greatest...

I have "A Love Song for Bobby Long" on DVD. I haven't seen it a while but I will see it soon. I really like that movie. John is great in it.

Why am I so excited that you've got a dvd copy of A Love Song For Bobby Long? I have a thing for that movie and I hope the whole world will get a chance to love it one day I guess. I get you! The whole atmosphere of the movie is great. It's laid back, but the academic scenes are fun because they're coming from such an unlikely place. It's pretty cool. I'd totally live like that!

Hehe, that is pretty funny. Travolta gets a bunch of awesome lines as Bobby Long! I love his relationship with Lawson, too.
