Just thought I'd bump up the thread as Helena deserves much more popularity on this site, haha. Anyway I just finished watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow Part One for the millionth time (in anticipation for Part Two's release) and can never get over how well cast HBC was as Bellatrix. Wonderful! Anybody else as excited for Part Two as I am!?

She really portrayed Bellatrix the same way I imagined in the books

Same here! I honestly don't believe that anyone could have portrayed the novel's Bellatrix as closely as Helena Bonham Carter did. She was sadistic and insane, but at the same time made you love her (at least in my opinion). Bellatrix was probably one of my favorite characters in the novels even before HBC's debut in the OOTP movie was released.

Before Part One came out my friends and I did the same thing, I'm sure we'll probably get together and do it all over again. Gosh, I can never get tired of Harry Potter, haha.

1. Why do you like Helena?
This woman has just everything I admire. She isn't just an incredible talented actress (who should have won an Oscar by now ), she though is an amazing mother and devoted wife. She wears unique and fantastic things and does not care that she does not fit into the Hollywood stereotype.. She is beautiful and smart and I so admire her!!

2. What is your favorite character and why?
Ms Lovett, especially in what she said about being cast by Tim and he not really thinking she can sing and how she kicked his butt and proved him wrong...

3. What is your favorite movie and why?
Young Helena in Fight Club!!!

4. What new project are you looking forward to most?
Dark Shadows because it is the dream team working together

I read that the role was suppose to originally go to Helen McCrory who plays Draco's mom, but due to being pregnant she couldn't do it. I personally think that worked out of the best. Can you imagine anyone else in the role? Helena was born to be Bellatrix. She was INCREDIBLE as her. My jaw literally dropped when I saw her in it. She deserves an Oscar nomination!

When I saw "The Kings Speech" with my friend she said "it's nice to see her playing someone normal wearing normal clothes" it's true!

Someone give her an Oscar already. She deserves one!
