If you weren't aware of the sad news, Delta was diagnosed with a (treatable) form of cancer called Hodgkin’s disease. She's determined to do whatever it takes to beat it! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Shes taken a few months off to get treatment/rest and then we'll see what happens. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] She's currently getting treated at St Vincent's hospital Sydney.

This thread is devoted to amazing Australian singer/actress, Delta Goodrem. She stars as Nina Tucker on Australian/UK soap, Neighbours.
The show is on Channel 10 at 6:30pm weekdays in Australia. In the UK it airs at 1:45pm on weekdays and repeats at 5:35pm on BBC1.

Delta kick-started her singing career with two chart-topping hits- "Born To Try" and "Lost Without You". With "Innocent Eyes" and "Not Me, Not I" following suit.

Delta's latest single released after the success of "Not Me, Not I" was "Predictable". It hit #1 just a few short weeks after release. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
Her next single to be released in the UK is "Not Me Not I".

Her debut album, "Innocent Eyes" was released on March 24th and has reached #1, and held position, on the Aria charts after going x6Platinum. It's been atop of the charts for 28 weeks and going... [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

A congrats is in order as her album Delta has become the first artist to have 5 number hit singles from a debut album!
She was nominated for record breaking 10 ARIA awards (for which she won 7). Nominations included Best Female, Best Album, Highest Selling Album and Highest Selling Single( a whopping 3 times!)

Sony also released a Delta DVD titled "Delta", which will include Behind The Scenes, Video Clips and Live Performances. The DVD is set to be released in Australia October 13th, 2003.

Also, TV Hits have commemorated the wonderfullness of Delta by publishing a special edition of the magazine. The "Ultimate Guide to Delta" is a 70-page booklet full if behind the scenes info, exclusive pics, latest goss and interviews of Delta. The magazine costs $9.95 and is in stores now. All proceeds go to Delta's personal Cancer Foundation. So get your hands on a copy before it's too late!

And I have to agree, she looks stunning in the pic in that dress! I really can't wait what to see what she'll wear at the logies! She always looks so amazing.

And can I just say I'm so glad they extended the red carpet coverage rather than just showing a quick snapshot of it all. I hope they give us a little Delta interview, though, I'm sure they're bound to do that, the'd be crazy not to!

I'm happy for Delta that she's got a deal with Pepsi but somehow I find it fishy that she's been signed on cuz of Mark. Ah well, those big billboards will definitely bring Delta back in everyone's faces real quick! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I've seen them and they are huge and mainly in the city. Maybe I should make an excuse to go to the city just to see the boards. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Is is interesting she got the pepsi deal after Mark did a campaign..but then again, I bet they know just how popular she is and wanted to cash in on that. I wish she could do an ad though! Like they do in the states, that could be cool.
