yeah that's usually the case with tv/movies... Some love it, some don't.. it's a matter of taste...

Ok, I've heard it compared to Gone Girl. A lot. But I guess most of it is because of the books. Thanks for the info.

I think maybe the feeling of it is a little like Gone Girl's. and there were certain scenes in GG that didn't actually happen but Amy told them like they have, and in The Girl on the Train Emily's character remembered things differently from how they actually happened but we only find that out later on.
