Billy Crudup was born in Manhasset, New York on July 8, 1968. He grew up with his two brothers in Texas and Florida, and attended the University of North Carolina prior to earning his Masters in Fine Arts at the Tisch School of the Arts. http://www.angelfire.com/movies/bcrudup/bc.jpg Billy Met his long-term girlfriend, Mary-Louise Parker, while performing in the critically-acclaimed Broadway play, "Bus Stop". http://www.angelfire.com/movies/bcrudup/hilo6.jpg Crudup is pronounced "Crew'd-up". I LOVE Billy Crudup! Unfortunately, his old thread fell off the board. I hope more of his fans have found their way to this board by now!
|
:gasp: How could his fans desert him like that? We must rally!
Anyway, I posted a link to here at a rather large Billy Crudup mailing list, so maybe some people will check it out? Also, Billy's supposed to be in TWO movies coming out this year! Maybe that will get him a bit more recognition. Fehrocious, have you heard any news about Billy's new movies? The only things I've heard of them are from the internet movie database, but they can be kind of slow on news there. By the way, I'm Lily. Is there another name I can call you? |
I loved him in Inventing the Abotts. *swoon*

Can you believe I've only seen two movies of his (Charlotte Gray & Sleepers)? And I'm already fairly obsessed... Anyway, of those two I definitely liked Charlotte Gray more. If you haven't seen it, you should! It's about WWII, and Billy plays Julien, who's in this resistance cell in occuppied France (in case you're historically-challenged, France was occupied by Nazis during most of the war), and this woman comes from England through a spy network to help them...somewhere in there, the two fall in love. It's one of my new favorite movies. |

Alright Fehrocious, you've won me over with the pics.
Thank you! I have seen the light |
And it's a good light! Someone I know just said they met the director of one of his movies, I think it was Waking the Dead. When she mentioned Billy's name I just went "ohhhhhh"!
|
I first noticed him on "Almost Famous" and also Charlotte Grey.. they're the only two films of his that i've seen. He's very talented
|
Yeah I definitely got hooked when I saw him in Almost Famous. Before that I saw Inventing the Abbots, Snitch and the movie he played Prefontaine in.
|
It is a very good light indeed!
I first noticed him in Almost Famous. Y'know when you get those moments of, 'Hello there darlin', aren't you just a lovely piece of man candy!' and the obsession grew from there I'll keep an eye out for any Billy news, and post it here. |
I love his voice! He's Ashi-taka in "Princess Mononoke!"

Inventing the Abbotts is one of my favorite movies and it's the reason I have fallen hard for both Joaquin and Billy They're so great in that movie and they really do look like brothers.
|
I first noticed Billy in Almost Famous. After seeing it, I looked to see what else he's been in and the only other movie I've seen is Sleepers. But he's really cute.

New movie, new interest, new posters! Keep the Billy love going!
