Katelyn, here's my reasoning: If the Haitian had simply taken HRG's memories, it would have looked suspicious, as if HRG had asked him to do it on purpose to protect Claire. By having the Haitian shoot him, it makes it seem as if the Haitian and HRG had had a falling out and HRG's memory loss was through no fault of his own.
As for Claude not dying when he fell off the bridge...maybe because he's just too sexy to die? LOL. I dunno, maybe he fell into a bush or something. :) |

Yup, I guess Claude's sexiness created some sort of forcefield or something. Hee. |
Man, I really want Claude to come back.
Remember the days when everyone was speculating him being Claire's father? How AWESOME would that have been? Which begs the question: How do you think the Paire relationship would be if it had been revealed that Claude was Claire's father? Would Claude be accepting of the relationship? Would Claire want to be close to her father? How would Peter react? |
He could have held onto the ledge...maybe?
|
I think that makes slightly more sense than my theory. ;)

How do you think the Paire relationship would be if it had been revealed that Claude was Claire's father? Would Claude be accepting of the relationship? Would Claire want to be close to her father? How would Peter react?
I think we would have gotten a really typical but funny overprotective father scenario. He would have eventually come to accept the relationship, knowing that he could totally take Peter down if he ever did anything to hurt her.(which he wouldn't :)) He would realize that no one could ever love Claire the way that Peter does. |
Aw love the new title! :sigh: I love that scene.
I have some news on Milo's movie Intellegence this is what was posted on the offical myspace page for the movie. Myspace.com Quote:

Thanks for the news Erin!
You were talking about Five Years Gone, I really liked it but I would take all the Peter/Nikki scenes out. About Claude......since the whole Peter/Sylar being brothers theory started I thought Claude could be their father. Why? Before Noah shot him they talked about something Claude did, he was protecting someone. I don't know but I started to think he was protecting the woman who would be Peter & Sylar's biological mother. I think Claude was trying to find their kids too. When she gave birth the "company" took Peter & Sylar away from her, they gave Peter to the Petrellis because he would be "useful" in the future and since they thought Sylar didn't have powers he was given for adoption. Their "mother" would be in some hidden place, maybe the place is another country. Claude barely comunicates with her so the company doesn't find her or him. Of course she has powers too. |
OMG you're kidding me. After seeing the trailer I've so wanted to see this movie, cheers Erin  I'm gonna be so there :yay:
lurveeeeeeeeeee that icon Nat it's just :in_love: :thud: How do you think the Paire relationship would be if it had been revealed that Claude was Claire's father? Would Claude be accepting of the relationship? Would Claire want to be close to her father? How would Peter react? Oh will it would definitely change, for the obvious reason that they would be unrelated. That would spin everything they've ever thought and felt totally on it's axis. And the inevitable would happen - they would get together, that undeniable attraction would take on a new form, it would be a reality. It would hit them both hard, claire having to adapt and except another parential change, I think out of being curious she would want to get to know claude more. I don't think it would phase Peter that much. He's the level headed one of them, he'd be trying to sort out claire first and foremost, making sure she was okay with it. He'd be too busy thinking of her to have his own views on the situation until one day .... boom the unrelated will kick in and then .... *sigh* :thud: As for claude I think he'd kick off to start with, he might still think of peter as unmature, the big kid with posters on his wall and the emo, floppy hair (even though the hair would be gone *wink* :lmao:) But then he'd only have to see paire together to see they think the world of each other and no-one would be better for his daughter than Peter  - great question btw hunnie, you always set such great questions :yay:  Loved your answer Fio :woot: |
Great answers guys! I just realized I forgot to answer the last two parts of the question, but I'm too lazy too add anything now

GodsGirl4Life, you don’t mind the nickname J2? I think it’d be great to call you that :D
Thanks for the fic recs, Kris; I’ll have to check them out to recall if I’ve read them :) Have a nice vacation, Ana  PerfectPaire, I love your story about how you converted your friend  You make us proud :yay: Love the answers to Nat’s question; I would love it if Claude was Peter’s father, Fio :thud:: How do you think the Paire relationship would be if it had been revealed that Claude was Claire's father? Would Claude be accepting of the relationship? Would Claire want to be close to her father? How would Peter react? I think the revelation that Claude’s Claire’s father would considerably increase the stress in the already-strained Peter/Claude relationship because I suspect Peter and Claude would each want to protect Claire but would disagree about how this should be done. I think Claude would see how Peter feels about Claire (he’s already heard Peter gushing about the “sweet little kid” with the “sad smile”) and would not like it. I think this would cause additional confrontations and violence between Peter and Claude, though I’m not sure how their relationship would play out after that. As for Claire, I think she’d have a hard time going from openly-loving and affectionate Noah to being downgraded to distant, selfish, but still somewhat fatherly Nathan to a further kick down to brutish, harsh, misanthropic Claude. I think, as I mentioned above, Claude would want to protect Claire, but he’d be quite abrupt and curt with her, which would lead to more angst for Claire. And this is not altogether a bad thing as Claire would have to turn to You-Know-Who for comfort and love :in_love: ETA: And thank you for the fanlisting link, Jayne :) I'd come across it before, but I'll have to check it out more closely now :) |
I think it would rock if Claude was Peter's father, but just as long as Sylar is in there to. I like that answer you gave Butterflygirl, that would be a cool way if they did it. If they reveal they are brothers, I wonder how they will play it out? Plus than we get Paire:D .
|
I had never thought of Claude as Peter's father before, Fio but I LOVE the idea! And with Sylar in the family too?? :thud: That would be freakin amazing!
Hey Joanna! Great answer:D Yup Calgary, the plus side in common to all of these Peter being adopted theories is that we do indeed get our Paire  |
I think the classic sibling rivalry would manifest itself as a case of I-must-kill-my-brother syndrome if Peter and Sylar were brothers, Calgary  Sylar would not stand for anyone having abilities equal to his, especially not his own brother, and Peter would feel the need to stop Sylar's madness because that's just the kind of heroic guy Peter is  So they'd both still be trying to kill each other, as they were in S1, but with the added tension and dimension being brothers adds in :)
ETA: Hi, Katelyn, and thanks ;) Great new icon  |

That would be pretty cool. :D And more Paire..! :sigh: |
