ok so i've seen a LOT of anti-threads and i was wondering if the rules on :ff: have changed. so i ask a whole bunch of mods in charge of those boards with anti-threads and they all reply that it depends on the board whether you can have them or not, and what the mods think.

i was wondering if we could all:
a) give our opinion on it
b) get the mods' opinions on this

i'm just trying to see if people are willing to allow anti-threads on the board or not. does it go by majority vote or by what the mods wish for their boards? i'm not asking about any particular anti-thread, just what people think of them in general cos many other boards have allowed them for ages and have had no problems with them.

Kat I have no idea what the whole thing is baout at all.If someone wants an anti.thread he/she shall start it if the mods of the board allow it.Why does there have to be a genereal rule or vote?

well i wasn't sure if the heroes community wanted them or not, and so i wanted to find that out before suggesting to have them :)

I fear I might not be a great help cause I personally think it's pretty stupid to spend time on bashing someone you don't like!If you don't like someone why spend time talking about them?To me anti-threads are a waste of time anyway so...
if you want one ask Jas or another mod, open one and then wait if anyone else will post in it!
Easiest way if you ask me!

I'm pretty much of the same mind as Lizzy, Kat. As much as I dislike certain characters/ships I wouldn't go and talk about it in an anti-thread. I don't like seeing my ships/fave charries bashed so I'm sure other people wouldn't like theirs bashed either. :shrug:

Personally, I hate them.

When I ran a discussion group, I ended up shutting them down as well. They usually got ugly, personal and the bashing went beyond the characters.

Plus, the negativity can be a pain in the neck if you have to read it every day like Jas and Jess would have to. So I understand why it was shut down.

I don't think we have a vote but part of what I love about :ff: is that it tends to be more positive and respectful for the most part. Or at least the Heroes board is.

I completely agree with this.I can't see anyone bash my ships and the same goes for others as well so I would never go in anti-threads but stick with my own ships threads:D.

Also I think there is no need to be an anti-thread.People should just stick with their own ships without wasting their time bashing others:)
