4N6 DNA

Kinda differnt form which power would I want, its more of a how would you use it if you got it.

Sometimes when I watch Heroes, I would wish that I had a power. The other day I was wondering what would happen if I actually gained that power. What would I really do with it? Would I use it for personal gain, like sylar? Or would I use it to help people, like peter?

I think that if I had Nathans flying ability, of course I would use it to get everywhere, gas prices these days, you know

If I had Claires ability, I think that I would become a cop, or a firefighter, or a disaster relief worker. Something along the lines of taking the risk out of keeping people safe. I think that would be my calling.

If I had Hiro's power, I wouldn't use it I would be too scared

If I had the telekinetic powers, I would just lighten my day. maybe have a full glass of water follow my sister around, use it when me and my pop play tennis, could make the racket fly out of his hand before a swing

Great idea for a thread!

I guess I'd be afraid of using it a lot publicly, so I'd probably use it mostly for personal gain but also to help people when necessary. I don't think I'd "pursue my destiny" and look for challenges like Peter or Hiro.

If i had the power of the guy who can turn things into gold, i would be too overwhelmed and wouldnt know where to start Or would I turn into midas!?

Well..theres a huge difference between Sylar's "personal gain" and the personal gain we all think of But yes, I would be totally selfish, especially if I could make gold..or take huge amounts of money from the banks Lack of morals? Maybe

I actually think Sylar's ability to "See how things work" would be pretty cool. Because everyday I'm constantly like "WTF? How does THAT work?" to something...

Hiro's ability..would be really tempting to use, because there are particular points in my life that I would love to change..do something different

Its funny though..how we wish we would have a power when we watch the show. Very similar to how Sylar..and Peter, for that matter, first started out, with wanting to be "special". I'll admit that, after a life of huge letdowns, and being constantly degraded, I often wish there was SOMETHING about myself thats extraordinary, that makes me SPECIAL. Lacking self-confidence? you bet But its true. I dont mind admitting it

That said...I wouldnt go so far as taking peoples brains.

That's a good point, Sylar's ability is amazing. Think he culd be good for the health industry? Seeing how diseases or so work?

Personaly, I'd want Peter's power. To gain the abilities of others through contact? That'd be sweet. But of course I'd abuse it.

If I could read minds, move objects with my thoughts, super strength, healing, and flight? I'd lord over all thoses around me.

Hell, I'd go the Sylar route and become President of the United States.

Yup..Sylars ability could save the world. Imagine being able to see whats wrong with people..and KNOW how to fix them and the diseases.

Sheesh..there would be no more need for medical research, really. Us scientists would be out of a job..my immunology work would be for nothing..

Anyways...But what would be the good of Peters power if you NEVER came across someone else who had another power? What a waste of an ability

I still like my idea of getting a super memory and going on jeopardy. I could win millions..AND I wouldnt be doing anything morally wrong. Bonus. Plus it would make work easier

Depending on what the power is, I'd probably do both. Matt's power for instance would provide me w/ a LEGAL way to do "insider trading", but I could help alot of people w/ that money!

I did an honours degree in Biology..my thesis was in the immunology department. And I did some work afterwards continuing my research..I loved it

I'm currently doing a M.Sc in Medicine...but I veered away from immunology for now, to do some Clinical Epi....but I love the field and eventually I will find my way back.

Well...I mean.. I'd still have to read and read and read to absorb the information. I would have to read and learn the same material as the next person..I could just retain it easier. Its not like I'd be plucking the information from the brain of someone else.

I would love to have Claire's ability to regenerate. But more so, I would like the ability to heal and cure others as well. Not just people, but plants, animals...that sort of thing. Maybe work at a hospital.
