Well, the past two years seem slow because we've been dealing with this pandemic. Difficult times always seem to drag on forever because we can't wait for them to be over, while the good times just fly by because we're so busy enjoying them we don't notice the time passing until afterwards.

That's understandable. I'm not a fan of the 2000s because after 9/11 the entire world changed. :( I miss the pre-9/11 years because it just seems like everything's gone downhill since 2001. I miss mostly the 80s and early to mid-1990s, right up to 1997.

Well, not just Trump, Alison. It was divisive long before then. Things weren't all roses and sunshine during the sixteen years before he became president. Truth is, we've been divided since the end of the 1990s. :( 9/11 divided us, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan divided us, Hurricane Katrina divided us, the Great Recession divided us, and so on, and so on. I actually miss the days when the most drama we had to deal with was the O.J. Simpson trial.
