Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Episode #2.04

A GHOSTLY BATTLE LEAVES SAM INJURED - Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) investigate the murder of a college student (guest star Summer Glau) who has come back from the dead seeking revenge on those who mistreated her while she was alive. Upon confrontation, the ghost savagely attacks Sam, leaving him injured. While in town, the brothers visit their mother's grave to pass along something from their father (Jeffrey Dean Morgan's).

But Sam wasn't injured? Unless you count his hand, but I actually thought it was something bigger than that

I really liked this episode, especially the end. Man, crying!Dean get to me.

Jensen does that SO well, seeing as his characters never ever get that emotional otherwise, these times really get me all teared up, you know?

Sam was so awesome in the episode, IMO. He's definitely winning me over. I just wish Jared would cut his hair a bit

I've always had a problem with his hair, the poor guy *hugs him* He's really becoming an amazing actor. I never looked at him in that way before, I must admit. This show has always been ALL about Jensen/Dean for me, but suddenly I really love Sam too

That makes me happy, seeing as you kind of have to like both guys to really enjoy the show.

Oh god, just when you think Jensen can't get any better, he just does. He is doing soooo amazing with Dean every single week. The last scene was just too damn emotional. The tears, the guilt. Oh man.

From now on I must stop reading episode dicussions before I get the chance to see it.. To tell you the truth, it obviously spoils all the good stuff! Even so, the end was perfect. I got all teary-eyed and felt really sorry for the guy. The burden he is carrying.. no wonder he's getting crushed underneath it all.

IMO Sam's face looked a bit pudgy.. maybe because his hair was pulled back this time. Man, he really should do something about it! And so far he's done pretty much nothing to win me over... maybe I should give him a chance, but he's sulking all the time and that's just boring. Love the way he takes care of Dean and tries to get him to talk about all the bad stuff.. So I guess I'm kinda warming up

Looking forward to next week, it's time to get into real action now! And by action I mean kicking some ugly evil thingy's ass, all this touchy-feely stuff is important but I'd like to see them rip somebody a new one!

Aw, I'm sorry CogitoErgoFeminaSum that you find Sammy boring and always sulking. Hopefully he'll win you over soon. I'm positive about it.

As for me, I dig how different these two are. Sam gets too emotional at time and Dean tends to just keep it all inside. I'd die to see the tables turn sometimes just to see what they'd do with it.

I love this episode and I didn't think Sam got hurt big time, too Cam. But maybe it'll pave way to the next episode wherein we'll see the damage it had done to Sammy. The last scene was perfect. Finally, Dean let down his wall. I can totally understand Dean better after he opened up. I nearly cried with them.

I love this scene:
SAM: Dean I don't scare easy but man you're scaring the hell out of me.
DEAN: You're overdramatic Sam
SAM: You're lucky enough it turned out a real case because if it's not you would've found something else to kill. You're on the edge, you're erratic except for when you're hunting [blah blah (I couldn't make out the words)] You're downright scary. You're tailspinning man and you refuse to talk about it and you don't want me to help you.

Aw, I love Sammy with those lines. And Jensen's facial expressions were just totally perfect!
