Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a rash of violent deaths in Elizabethville, Ohio, a once-sleepy town that has been turned into a haven for gamblers and drinkers.

Dean discovers demons have infiltrated Elizabethville and are using their powers of persuasion to make the townspeople succumb to their basic instincts. Meanwhile, Ruby (Katie Cassidy) helps Bobby (Jim Beaver) rebuild the Colt from scratch and stuns him with some news.

Sorry for the DP but um did anybody watch the episode? Why are we not gushing! Dude! Jensen was gorgeous! there was untucking of a dress shirt which was like the hottest moment on SPN EVER! ...and OMG Dean broke my heart! How does Jensen do that? How can he reduce me to tears with one line and a lost look in his eyes?

I so want to rant over this episode, well not really the episode as a whole but the whole Evil!Sam thing really pisses me off so beware people, there is bitterness here:

Skip thru the then and now .. cause uh.. I have been watching I don't need catching up ..

First off loving the whole illusion that something was going to happen to the nun in the church (not like that people, just you know the leading us on part) anywho.. and blowing your brains out in church .. Poor Andy Andy makes me think of another guy by that name .. Gay Porn *snub* How I miss him.

Thinking people with the name Andy are just doomed on this show!!

The boys is suits as good as Dean looks in his jeans, I got a thang for the man in a suit.. or nekked whatever is most comfortable for him.. you know that is what I am concerned with ..

Richie *WTF?* he reminds me of a pimp.. uh.. yeah, the best part about that little flashback/introduction was DEAN UNTUCKING HIS SHIRT

I think I died at that part, but luckily the portable heart defibulator I bought on the net came in handy and I was back in time to catch CCR !! *flail* this song always reminds me of From Dusk till Dawn ..

Ritchie again.. who still says things like somthin' somethin' ?? *eyeroll* moving on.. The bartender (Casey?) hot and all kinds of chemistry .. got a girl crush on her "You drink Hurricanes?"

Now on to the Dean?Jensen gushing/love/obsession part of the post:

Jensen first: I seriously love how this man can go from such a range of emotions in one episode. He is honestly one of the best actors I have ever had the pleasure of watching. And it is not just because he is sex on (bow)legs. He is but he is so much more than that. His facial features and eyes express so much more than just a quick smirk or fake laugh. I can't even begin to explain how, but he makes me feel what Dean is feeling, I laugh with him, cry with him, worry with him and love with him. He conveys every emotion from love to hate, fear to strength, loyalty to honor, laughter to tears, so perfectly.

On to Dean: Is there a more complex man? Honestly, how can you not adore him from his spiked hair to his steel toed boots? Taking in consideration that this is the man that Sam has had to stop from killing "innocent" people, ie: the vampires in bloodlust, He has this 'shoot first and ask questions later' mentality that I love. (cause honestly I would be the same way when dealing with "evil") and now we see a different side of him, not wanting Sam to kill Casey. He had formed a bond with her, however twisted it was. Everything about Dean in this episode screamed love. From the love for his brother, to the fear over hell and the 'game face' he put on about not being scared, to the affection he had for Casey. "Your likeable"

Now on to the Evil!Sam thing.. I am finding a hard time seeing the evil part Like with Jake.. the man stabbed him in the back and left him for dead (okay so he was dead, details ) I would have had no problem putting a bullet in his brain either ..

Now tonight: Sam doesn't know anything about Casey or that she tried to spare Dean's life, all he knows is that Two Demons have his brother, he walks in on one choking the life out of said brother. So he shoots them, both. Now I ask you, had the shoe been on the other foot and it was Dean that walked into that basement and shot them would we be worried about Dean's soul?? No !! We would be praising him for being the protector, (like the scene where Dean shot Meg's brother, I was so proud of Dean in that moment!) the awsome brother (that he is !!) and gushing over him. But because it is Sam we are worried about him, *sigh*

and maybe I missed the memo that Sam can't be as protective over Dean as Dean is over Sam I mean honestly people, Dean just sold his soul to save Sam's life, this is on Sam's mind constantly. How if Dean does happen to die now, he is going straight to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200, HELL. So yeah, Sam is a little cold to anyone that messes with his brother right now. *airfist* Good for him ! But did you really look at his face after he shot them?? After he shot Jake there was an cold evil look to him (again not blaming him here) but this time there was a sort of sad look on his face. *wibble* and when he was talking to the Ruby chick he even said something about having to kill two humans I think there is just too much of the old Sam hanging around, too much kind heart and open face honesty, for me to think too much about an Evil!Sam. Just my opinion.

Am I worried about Sam? YES, but not because of this. I am worried about him thinking the only way he can save the world it to lead the Demons back into hell himself. Cause that is a Sammy thing to do.

Marci on the Sam thing I see what you're saying. He was protecting Dean, I get that and that's not what worries me it's little (annoying as hell) Ruby whispering in his ear, He loves his brother so much there is NOTHING he will not do to save Dean, so if he has to play her game, go a little dark, kill a few people to save Dean, he will. and that's what worries me and scares me. I don't like where this storyline is heading at all. I don't want evil Sammy, I don't want dark Sammy. Yeah BUABS was awesome, Jared does evil well...do I want it as canon? NO! ...I'm really hoping this ends up being a story about how the love they share can over come anything, can save Dean from hell and can stop Sam's destiny. If they have faith in each other then there is nothing they can't do.

And Jensen! OMG! He is so talented, Why is he not the most famous actor in the world? ...three times he just ripped my heart out durring this episode, one was when Dean is asked if he believes in God and says "I'd like to" just the way it was delivered you could feel the turmoil Dean was in, the hope he had yet still a part of him that doubted, when he asked what hell was like and he had this look in his eyes. WOW! ...and then at the end when he asked Bobby if his brother would be alright. I almost cried. To be able to say so much with a tone of voice or a look ...pure talent! There is nobody better then Jensen.

and oh yeah...Dean/Casey...HOT! ....I'm with Marci I totally have a girl crush on her. not just because the girl is pretty (who is the actress anyway?) ...but I really loved the character, a demon with a heart, I'm such a sucker for that. (and Ruby ends up having a heart she will be the exception. )

Bee Sorry, I got a little hot reading some LJ stuff and then posted I shouldn't do that .. I don't want Evil!Sammy either, and honestly don't thik we are going to have him. Maybe for a epi or two, but he won't be evil for good. I worry more that Dean is going to sacrifice himself again to save his brother and that will be the end. We have talked about that before, and I still feel the same way I don't see how we are gonna get out of this one with both brothers *sob*

And Casey A demon I wouldn't mind coming back for more !!

LJ has been pissing me off lately, first the Ruby love (I'm sorry But I just don't like her!) then the Evil!Sammy love and then the Jensen wank! WTF? 0_0

But yeah, any way you cut it, I don't ever see Dean getting his happy ending, when the dust has settled Dean wont be alive when this show ends. Don't get me wrong. I WANT HIM TO HAVE HIS HAPPY ENDING! Nothing would make me happier, I just don't see Dean letting himself have it.

And Casey! Yes! More please!

Hmm, I usually dont do comments like this, because it makes me so nervous, because I usally get things all wrong compared to anyone else, but this time, after reading the comments already made, I think I'm safe.

I gotta agree with you both, I don't want evil Sam! Not even a little, it breaks my heart. :boken_heart: and I know it will break Dean's heart, too if it happens and that makes me want to cry. I'm with you Marci. Sam is lost without Dean, and he knows it so of course he didn't show any mercy to those demons and neither would Dean if the rolls were revesed.

And my poor, poor Dean... His sadness and despair mixed with braveness is gonna be the end of me. I don't know if I can take a whloe season of this...

Jensen. Jensen is awesome. Totally awesome. In every way possible. and the fact that :

1) I didn't even think of his body or hotness in this eppi-- not even ones, only Dean excicted.

2) It was the change of expression on his face that made me cry, rather than his words, that drove me to tears. The little things he does is what makes him so great and I'm so incredible impressed. The way he works his voice and facial expression is just amazing.

3) The fact that my husband said that he never thought a guy would ever almost drive him to tears

Proves just that!

I don't have an opinion on the girl in the bar, but I guess she and Jensen had chemistry, otherwise I'd feel annoyed when I watched.

It makes me nervous that Boyy let that demon girl help him and even more nervous that Dean doubt that Sam is really Sam, because no good can ever come from that. It's gonna destroy them both.

Finally, I know this isn't Jared's board but I still think he did a good job.

Bringing this thread up again...because I just re-watched the episode. I know a lot of people don't care for it because it lacked a lot of action, yet it still ranks high on my favorite list. I LOVED the whole Dean/Casey thing, yes they just sat there and talked, yet Jensen and the actress pulled it off.

It's funny going back and reading our old posts...because we were all worried about Evil!Sam...and that Sam was nothing compared to the Sam we have now, he was still a puppy back then, even if he was a bit shady. ...We were spot on about the demon skank though.
