I watched this movie a couple of days ago.
 I think this is one of the most bizarre movies I've ever watched!  I'm just going through some of the bonus features. I have an idea of what it was all about, but I think I'm going to have to watch it again, to even attempt to understand what was going on.  __________________

Okay, I guess it's normal to be this confused after watching it only once.
I did really enjoy the movie, though...lots of good things to rave about. For example, there were some unique camera angles and such, and the soundtrack was so appropriate...eerie, to say the least. Jake did a phenomenal job with his character...Donnie really freaked me out a number of times. I love the scene that the thread title refers to...all the Smurf talk had me chuckling! I used to watch that show with my siblings and figured it was fairly benign, but after hearing Donnie's take on it all, it's given me a whole new perspective. __________________

Sharon, I don't think I'll ever see Smurfs the same way again.
It was funny, too, how Donnie was clearly intoxicated while rambling on about them...he just couldn't put up with his friends not having 'the right information' about those little blue creatures, and so he had to speak his mind. Hey, Teena! Yeah, I managed to find the Director's Cut. It had some cool features on there. I especially loved the Production Diary...lots of fun stuff in there, with Jake behind-the-scenes.  __________________
