I'm not sure where you guys left off (and I've been away from FF for a little while) but I think Brittany did a great job playing Ariel. Deep inside I thought she had a heart but she was really just crazy... I blame most of it on her dad though. He was the same.

Brittany did an amazing job as Ariel. I couldn't play that she took such a different role. Part of me hates Ariel for her views even if she is just a troubled kid messed by her father. The there is the part which loves the element that the character brings to the show and to Matt.

I think she helped Matt get over Ava, but that doesn't really excuse her from being a bigoted racist.

I know but in all truth we all have a little racist in us. I mean, I say "white people" more then anyone else I know. Mostly it's a state of mind like how someone would say another person is acting "black". The terms for "race" like white, black, gay ect.... don't mean the same thing that they are meant to mean. The words are now more like a state of mind then an actual thing someone can be.

Did that make any sense?

I have no idea what this has to do with Ariel since she doesn't think like I do but... oh well.

I understand what you mean, Mike. The lines are blurred. We say things and they can be taken out of context. But, Ariel was racist, she was influenced by her family ... especially her bigoeted, close-minded father.

The real question on my mind for season four, is will Matt's storyline be about the murder of Ariel's dad, and his friendship with Cherry ... or will they draw up a blank page and go from there?

Next year could have many storylines with Matt. From his relationship with Sean and Julia dealing with the new baby on the way, to murder of Ariel's father. One thing I want for sure is for this to not be the end of Ariel. She kind of reminds me of a young Gina or Kimber. I think it could be very interesting to see where she goes.

I would like to see her stick around, too. I don't think she's ever going to be as likeable as Kimber, or even Gina...but she has staying power...if they write it well.

I agree. I definetely hope to see her again. I actually like Ariel better than Gina though. I just love how insane she is. It provides for some interesting drama.

Did anyone else see Brittany in the Law & Order SVU finale last night? She played this girl who went off her meds due to a Tom Cruise like figure speaking against "drugs."

She ended up letting two boys have sex with her in the school boys bathroom and then tried to kill herself in a car accident but only ended up killing some other people.

I didn't see the end but she was great in what I did see of it.

Seeing her roles in American Dreams, Nip/Tuck, and SVU. The girl has range. I can't wait to see more of her work in the future.

Me too. I never really liked her before N/T but after seeing her play Ariel I soon changed my mind. I loved her style and everything in it. She did a good job and was very believable.

I was not a fan of American Dreams. I never gave the show a chance...I just wrote it off from day one. But, I think she did a tremendous job on Nip/Tuck playing Ariel...because you could tell the actor was nothing like this...but she was so convincing being such a bad girl.
