Question is how much of that Cuddy is aware of.

That's the question...does she know :( will she EVER know :(

My only comfort is the final scene with them...her hands on his face..it's not all lost
Wasn't this a hallucination as well? I really need to watch the episode again.

WORD. Thank you Ele for thinking positively, too.
 I know how you are all feeling, I'm sad too although I'm not a hardcore shipper but I consider Huddy my favourite fandom atm. Still do cause they have potential. What really bugs me now is the amount of teasing and slow tension building all over the season. It would have made sense for them to let all those emotions explode in one scene. And now it didn't happen at all. And with House being crazy it won't probably happen again that soon so once they're reaching the point again where they question their relationship it will start all over again.

You know what I asked myself all the time how House could handle not taking vicodin that well during today's episode. Well, he could cause it didn't really happen. And this made me realise he hallucinates even before it was shown on TV.

I'm sad.

I know that, we all do, Cuddy is his world, and that's the most beautiful thing ever, BUT I'm still frustrated at the way this was promoted, I mean misleading things are one thing, dedicating a video to a group of shippers giving them what they've always wanted to make it a big lie afterwards is just mean.

Completely agree with all of this :(

I don't care for DE as a writer, either. Should have expected. However, and this is where my journalist side comes in, technically, this episode was brilliantly executed. It is good storytelling and constant to the permise of the show.

LE was right in one thing: we DID find out about House's feelings for Cuddy.

With that said, it is now pretty clear they are going to tease us until the end of the show.

Forever&Always 05-11-2009 06:53 PM

I'm half REALLY mad and half not.
I'm mad for obvious reasons.
But then, for as many of the great Huddy scenes in the past two episodes that were just FREAKING TAKEN BACK, we had some more awesome ones. House is really in love with her. I love that he imagined himself holding her lipstick all day, as you've all said, it shows what he cares about. Also, it's House. I didn't expect a hallucination (which was shown awesomely btw) but I also knew House and Cuddy wouldn't be walking off into the sunset after last week's episode. It's House, so as disappointed as I am, it didn't come as a complete shock.

How do we know this? And how to we know IT was real and not just a fakeout like everything else?

Hallucinations show your deepest feelings and emotions. In his mind House held onto Cuddy's lipstick like his lifeline instead of his bottle of pills.

A hallu of a hallu? The writers are not that screwed up!

Have you read the short review I posted on the episode thread? I already had my suspicions when House seemed to be fine after detoxing. Detox means the Vicodin is flushed out, but he would still be an addict and in pain. No amount of endorphins could have counteracted for that.

Yes, the teasing is getting too much - still there coud have been worse ways to end the season. I don't thuink the sex not being real is a loss to the fandom. We should still think of it as something we gained.

eta- sorry for the DP.

The fandom has just exploded. It's going to be a LONG summer.

Well, everything he hallucinated points towards Huddy. Him fantasizing about sex with Cuddy, his wish to come clean with drugs and Cuddy helping him because he knows how painful it is and that he needs support. Wilson could have done that too. Replacing vicodin with her lipstick. Him asking her to move in (although I think that was just him fooling around) and finally seeing a happy House. I really expected it the other way around with Cuddy opening herself again and House trying to push her away like we've seen it before.

This is true, that was cruel. I also didn't like seeing Cameron and Chase's wedding right at the moment when everything felt apart from House. I have nothing against them but I wasn't in the mood of seeing those bright and shiny scenes when House is in the dark.

IMO the writers have to be careful with the teasing and fooling around with fans. Cause once they're overdoing it the whole series starts to suck. Happened with X Files and Gilmore Girls for example. I hope this won't happen with House. But they already pissed one fandom of the show off. They shouldn't do it with the other one as well.

Nope, will do that now. :gone:

Once the episode airs, it's fair game to be discussed. If you didn't want to know, why did you come read our reactions? :look:

Easy, tiger. I don't think discussing the episode after it airs is considered against the rules. We've done it pretty much all season and never once were called on it.
