The TWC review asked about the research he did (diaries and how Alan wrote as if he knew he'd be famous one day. He's both arrogant and endearing) Interviewer said Alan is radical and asked if Dan can relate. Dan said Alan was a guy who grew up in NJ and was desperate to get out and go to NYC. He relates to that b/c when he was in school before doing HP, he loved going from a boring school atmosphere to an exhilarating film set. Alan went from boring NJ to exhilarating NY.
