Michael Scofield finds out his brother has been sentenced to execution for committing the murder of the Vice-President's brother.
And Michael comes up with a plan to break his brother Lincoln out of prison before this can occur.
Born in Chicago he attended Morton East High School and graduated. He finished Magna Cum Laude with a B.S.,
civil engineering and M.S., civil engineering, from Loyola University.
Michael also married a woman, Nika Volek so she could live in America. In return she’d help him with his escape.
At the time of his arrest he was employed at Middleton, Maxwell and Schaum.
Now at large he barely escaped being recaptured only to be found by Paul Kellerman.
Several of the escapees are killed or recaptured, but the brothers make it to Panama. In the season finale, the testimony of a former Company employee exonerates Lincoln
while Michael, T-Bag and Mahone are arrested by the Panamanian authorities and are imprisoned at the Penitenciarêa Federal de Sona
where they find Bellick who had been arrested earlier in the season.
Sona is a prison that has been run by the inmates and guarded only from the outside since a riot the year before.
Burrows is quickly contacted by The Company. And is told that they want Scofield to break James Whistler out of Sona.
The pair manage to escape along with Mahone leaving behind several accomplices including T-Bag and Bellick.

Sara Tancredi ’s passion has always been wanting to help people. Some would say that has gotten her into lots of trouble.
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago she later received her medical degree.
Sara then lost her way and became involved in drugs which jeopardize her career.
She finally got help. Got a job at Fox River Penitentiary as the doctor.
The political disagreements between her & her father caused the rift between them.
Despite her drug history. Most people would of never have predicted that she wouldn't left the door unlocked for the Fox River 8 to escape.
Sara then became a prime suspect in aiding and abetting the fugitives.
Her father bailed her out of jail but was later found dead in an attempted suicide.
After beeing tortured and leaving Kellerman. She surrenders herself to the FBI in order to let the brothers escape.
Sara is then faced with a 12-year prison sentence but just as she is about to plead guilty,
Kellerman comes forward to testify on her behalf. Sara is captured by the Company.
Gretchen Morgan reveals to Lincoln with a cell phone video that Sara and LJ are actually being held at ransom.
A bloodied box with Sara's head is sent to Lincoln. Gretchen said that she personally beheaded Sara
but it was revealed that she lied and the head in the box was from a cadaver.
After Sara tried to escape Gretchen tortured her as 'punishment'. Later Sara managed to successfuly escape.
Sara then headed to Chicago to her old friend Bruce Bennet.
When Micheal and Lincoln were in custody Bruce bailed them out and brought them to Sara.

Sara: I can't leave you here. They’ll kill you.
