Okie dokie...looks like majority is saying two threads and people stay on their own sides...so we'll try this again. all threads will stay just as they are...with hopefully no more arguements from either side.

Rules...and these go for all of the Anti and Pro threads...

At No Time is an actor allowed to be bashed for any reason.

If for any reason you feel the need to mention something you do not agree with that the character has done or a way they have acted...Please take it to an anti thread.

Only praise of the character is allowed in the Support threads. Nothing Negative...at all!

Posters from both threads are allowed in the other thread...if they follow the rules! Please do not go into the Support thread and say the character is lousy...don't go into an Anti thread and say they are wrong and and not seeing the big picture. Read, Lurk...post even...but DO NOT defend your views if they don't belong in that thread...it only gets ugly and we are trying our best to stop any more of this from happening.

If a poor newbie should stumble into a thread and is not aware of the rule..please direct them to the rules and not be to harsh.

Hopefully these simple rules will iron everything out.

One last thing...Thread Titles...If at any time you feel a thread title is not suitable for whatever reason...please alert either Anji or I (yes even if one of us started the thread) so we can handle it.

I actually really like the idea of a Saratweener thread, would that be a discussion /debate thread?

I'm used to boards that have pro and anti-Threads for most major characters. Seems to work for them. I personally think that three threads sound a bit like overkill, but I don't really care either way.

Yup Sonya...they can gush and bash and debate all they want...while still having a thread of their own to gush or a thread to bash. And all live happily ever after...hopefully.

I really dislike the idea of a merged Sara pro & anti thread. No.. people need to learn to be more civil and stick to the right threads. imo, of course

I think we should stick with the two threads we have....because a merged one would pretty sure sooner or later get out of control (at least that's my experience with merged ones ) ... but I would make it more clear (maybe in the opening post of the Appreciation/Unappreciation Thread ) that this threads are for specific opinions. I know people love the characters, but if there is an ANTI-thread, then it should be obvious that in this thread people just say negative opinions about the character, that's what the thread is for, right?? hope that makes any sense at all

I honestly don't care anymore. I am really sorry, that this whole discussion got so out of hand so I would appreciate a Sara-Tweener Thread, but this could again lead to problems. Again I want to apologize to everyone who felt insulted, offended, attacked and/or hurt by any of my comments and I will simply shut up about this subject.
I must confess I should've brought up the thing with the thread title earlier and you're right about me not PMing you because you were both posting there and I figured if you found it okay then it stays. Next time I will contact you earlier.

I'd say stick to what we have now.
just stay out of the threads if you dont agree or.. whill start a debate..
simple as that.

The pros have been told over and over again that they're not supposed to go and post and defend in the Ant- thread.... but the Anti's gripe about getting bashed in the pro thread? Come on guys, that's favoring the Antis. I propose the two threads. But ANTIS stay on the anti thread and PROS stay in the pro thread. I don't even go on Saviors thread anymore because it seems so anti at times and I know the antis feel they're getting bashed in the pro thread then how do you think we feel? We're told we're not allowed to defend her in the anti thread but the antis can come into the pro thread and post their anti opinions? It's unfair. That's the problem. You fix the rules and the problem goes away, but as of right now it's unfair.

Ok, rant over.... I love ya'll but I'm starting to get frustrated

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, whatever the rule is it should be the same for both threads (pro and anti). Depending on what side of the scale you fall on your feelings are going to fall in that direction. Alot of anti'ers have felt bad for their dissenting opinions in pro/appreciation threads, but the same is also true for pro'ers. It's not just the case for one group and I think everyone needs to remember that no matter where you fall on the anti or pro scale. The bottom line I feel is to create the same rules for the threads and then enforce it. That will cut out all the problems and hurt feelings and people feeling they can't have a dissenting opinion or feel like they have to defend themselves in a thread that is pro or a thread that is anti, etc.

And of course I want to say this should be the same for all ship/character threads not just Sara. The same should be true for Saviors or whoever. Those who are Saviors should be able to have their place to love on them and not feel like they can't or don't want to post in there because there is so much negativity. There is an anti-Savior thread (or it can be re-created if it's gone) for those that aren't really on board that ship any more. Because again people that don't love Saviors or have issues with them shouldn't feel like they can't post their feelings/thoughts either. Thus the anti-threads.

There's a reason for the pro and anti threads. Both groups can have their place to go to vent or rant or love or appreciate or just discuss or whatever. It's simpler just not to have pro'ers come on the anti threads and the anti'ers not to go on the pro threads. That right there will keep most issues at bay.

If you're pro a character or ship and you want to read anti comments that's your peroggative but to get all bent out of shape because of what people are saying is just ridiculous. And if you're anti a character or ship the same is true......don't be upset because you go into a pro thread and people are only loving and appreciating that character/ship and aren't happy with your dissent. That's my two cents.

There are some of us that are in the middle on some characters or ships.......we may like part of that character or ship but not like all of the actions or attributes. And some of us may be annoyed by a character or have issues with them but we may not hate and want them to die or the ship to be destroyed or whatever the case might be. And there may be some of us that like a character but don't love them and would like to express that w/o being jumped on by the lovers of that character or ship. Not to mention some of us just like to be able to discuss/debate a character or ship...........good and bad. In that respect I have to say that maybe with characters or ships where there is a demand for that, that a tweener thread would be a good thing to have. In those cases where there is a demand I think having a third thread is a good idea. However, I think the rules would need to be very clear about what the intent is for the thread and what is and isn't allowed. And if you're someone that can't handle it, don't post in there.

One more thing I want to say is just because someone doesn't like or agree with all aspects of a character or ship doesn't mean they still can't like or a be a fan of that character or ship.

personally...the third thread will get out of hand...as said above. it will result in both pro and anti arguing cause both can't decide in an 'undecided' thread. stick to what we have, Pro and Anti.

i also think a lot of people are getting confused. the anti thread is anti the character NOT the actress. the pro thread is pro character and very supportive of the actress.

I totally agree with that. It will be just another thread where each side will constantly be defending their side, and it will just be even worse I think.

Exactly, I feel that a third thread will divide us. I don't want to be all gruff and defensive on this forum (You do not want me in a debate... not at all... I'm not nice ). It's not about that. It's about having fun and hanging out with people you share your views with

Thank you all for your opinions. Keep them coming in. Personally I'm in favour of just the two threads and people staying out of the one they shouldn't be in...but I would still like every one's opinion so we can work this out once and for all.
