The Josh DVD thread #3: Don't whisper about the Whisper DVD!

I am sorry about the title, I had a brain freeze and it's all I could think of.

From the last thread:

* I said "almost" because this UK site reports March 2008:
Whisper [DVD Video Disc] DVD ->->-> Buy Whisper [DVD Video Disc] on DVD at DVDSource the secure online DVD shop for the UK and Europe

In case anyone stopping by this thread is interested, the DVD of Whisper will be released on November 28 in Australia.
Yep its very odd, I've been to a lot of sites to compare prices for when I buy it next week (hopefully) and almost all of them do not list who is in it, what its about and so on - how they expect anyone to buy it is beyond me. Josh deserves better .

Thanks for the new thread Louise , don't worry about the title.

I'm starting to wonder if the October 22 release news is legit... because not only there are no deatils in any UK DVD sites, but on play.com, the first site I found the movie listed weks ago, now it says this:

This item is not currently in production.

I have no idea Kelly , I hope that's not the case, because almost all the UK sites I've checked report the same release date, but this lack of any detail when we are so close to October 22 is weird. Basically our best option is that the DVD wasn't promoted at all.

[OT] Sorry about the OT, but in case anyone is interested, here it is a little feature with Terry O'Quinn from the Lost S3 DVD extras:
YouTube - Terry O'Quinn - Throwing From The Handle

ETA - it's me again, anyone knows what is this about?

That feature is really interesting, I am glad they did something regarding the amount of books they feature in the show and actually make a point of showing the titles and a character mentioning something about the book in question. Very nice to see Josh contributed; Sawyer after all is one of the main people reading.

Showing the books I think is a nod back to them for the ideas that the show creators got from them and the influence they have had .

I have to admit I haven't got round to reading any of the books aside from all of Charles Dickens; I am an English student after all .

Double post sorry but...

Who has the season 3 DVD set? If you do, are you enjoying the episodes better second time viewing and what do you think of the extra features?

Personally I do not own the set (yet - maybe will get it for Christmas) but I have been watching a friends and I am enjoying the season a lot more the second time round, as I said on another thread - it may be due to the fact I'm watching on a large flat screen instead of hunched over my laptop . I haven't got a chance to view the extras as yet but there appears to be a lot there.

I don't have the S3 DVD but I've read only good reviews about the extras, both on the websites and in costumers' comments.

Reposting the extras (and easter eggs) featuring Josh I could find on YouTube and DailyMotion (some clips had been deleted):

YouTube - Lost Season 3 Deleted Scene (Tricia Tanaka Is Dead II)

YouTube - Lost Season 3 Deleted Scene (Every Man For Himself)

YouTube - LOST - Season 3 -- Bloopers

Lost on Location: Every Man For Himself

Video TTID lost location - lost, season3, trica, tanaka, dead - Alice Video Condividi i tuoi video

Video pingpong easter egg lost - lost, season3 - Alice Video Condividi i tuoi video

If anyone finds the rest (like the "Lost on Location" features for Not in Portland I couldn't find today, that wiould be great!)

Thanks for all those links Fran, their going to come in handy when I finally get my hands on the extras disk . I'm glad the boxset is getting good reviews; it deserves them.

You're patient, I would go straight to the last disk with the bonus features.

I've tried too but seeing as its not my set and my friend is mean I've got to wait for us to finish watching the season before seeing them.

I had forget that you were watching with your friend! Then I understand why you must restrain yourself. How many episodes do you have still to watch to finish the season?

Yeah I'm too much of a skinflint to buy my own the last one we saw was the one with all the Nikki and Paulo flashbacks so we're just over half way through the season I think.

9 episodes are separating you from the seventh disk.

I'm a little embarrassed in saying this, but Exposé is one of the episodes I enjoyed the most in S3.
