I put this thread up yesterday, but now it's gone for some reason. I'm gonna try this again.

I was just recently rewatching episodes 3 and 4 in season 5.
In episode 3 when Dean tells Castiel he's happy being without Sam, I always thought he was lying, but after just seeing it again he seemed very serious when saying it.

In episode 4, I understood why he didn't wanna reconnect with Sam. But with how codependent they are, how they literally can't live without each other (especially true for Dean), and Dean's love and loyalty to Sam, I found it so out of character that he could stay away from Sam. The only reason they got back together was because Sam said yes to lucifer.

There are other examples like this in the show, those two just caught my attention recently.

I would love to hear other opinions on this.
