Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the disappearance of a man who went missing at a tourist location. While searching the site, Dean is shot and killed by the owner. Sam is devastated but stunned when he wakes up the next morning to find Dean alive and well. As the day unfolds, Sam realizes he is re-living the previous day and tries to prevent Dean's death, but to no avail. Dean dies again and Sam must learn to live life without his brother by his side.

This episode is going to kill me. I've been looking so forward to it ever since I heard Groundhog Day and Dean's going to die (not that I want Dean to die ) so I'm really curious if it can live up to my expectations!

Ah this eppy looks good, sad and funny at the same time although Dean dying is not funny at all but some of the ways he dies is pretty far fetched. And hopefully this time I wont have any hostile comments that scares everyone away

loved the episode!!!! amazing!!!!! so emotional!! sam/dean love each other so much!!!! clowns or midgets? lol! they would do anything just to be together!! it was so funny too...with sam repeating dean. dean in the shower! sam/dean in the suits!!! forceful sam is so sexy!!! yum!! i can't believe they brought the trickster back! sam will never ever let dean go!!!!!!!!! sam loves dean with all his heart and no matter what anyone says....the feels for him will never go away and he wants to be the one that saves him! dean is the reson that sam is alive and sam doesn't want to go through life without dean!! sam hugging dean!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! next week...looks amazing!!!

aww, I loved this episode. call it insane, but I loved the part(s) when sam didn't even have to think about catching the hot sauce. he just caught it so bored looking, it set me off every time. it was a cute episode. :]

Given I'm a hardcore Sammy!girl I did find myself enjoying this episode very much. There were times when it got a little slow sure, but all in all it had a wonderful balance of comedy and tears. The episode starting with Asia's "Heat of the Moment" was perfection, especially Dean singing along to it. He's so ridic, it's hard not to love the guy. Then of course the gargling and the many a wonderful one liner including "Sammy I get all tingly when you take control like that." Good times. I have to say I was skeptic about how the show could make Dean dying over and over be funny, but it kind of was :/ Like slipping in the shower or eating a funky taco. Then true to Dean's nature when he found out he had to ask if the way he died "looked cool." Haha and just to throw it out there "of course I peed myself!"

However once the day repeated itself over and over, it was finally time for the plot to move along. Enter sir Trickster who I enjoy having around. He's a sarcastic and funny little bastard. Finally Sam got his Wednesday and it all went to hell. Well...Dean went to hell and Sam might as well have been there also. Seems a life without Dean is no life at all and it broke my heart to see the way Sam was living. Oh hai mini!John! Seriously Sam IS his father. I understand how hard it would be to give up on trying to save Dean which is why Sam hasn't. He never will. Even if Dean really were to die and not get out of his deal, like pretty much shown, Sam would spend his life trying to figure out a way to bring him back.

Seems if Sam cries, I cry. Man that boy had me bawling toward the end there. And a hug?! They hugged?! Oh sweet jesus thank you. It was a real hug too...well at least on Sam's part, not like Dean hugged him back but it was nice to see. Brothers hug. Not rocket science. Even though the episode did nothing to hint at any help for Dean whatsoever, I still enjoyed it very very much.

and quickly holy mother of a preview, I mean honestly...wow. It was like a movie trailer. What the hell is up with you CW? Not that I'm complaining. It's just so unlike you to give a damn about our boys.

I loved this episode!

Seems a life without Dean is no life at all and it broke my heart to see the way Sam was living.

Oh I know! My heart broke for Sam the entire time. He was just so lost without Dean. I mean Dean is the only constant thing Sam has had in his life.

I loved the way there was still some really funny stuff in it too! Dean cracked me up with his singing and facial expressions. And Sam rocked the whole episode!

I freakin' loved this episode!! I think this is my favorite episode so far this season, it was amazing from start to finish..

First of all it was hysterically funny, when they had the montage of Dean dying like a thousand times in one minute I was laughing so hard it was fantastic the editing of the episode was perfect.. I also loved Dean lip-synching, the gargling, all the scenes in the diner, Sam catching the hot sauce.. Pig N' A Poke the boys are hillarious..

But aside from all the amazing funny moments, when Dean actually died and they showed all the stuff with Sam by himself and hunting that broke my heart. Just seeing him alone without Dean, hunting, driving the Impala and as stupid as it might sound seeing Sam in a motel room without two beds in it made me sad lol.. and if it wasn't already completely obvious, Sam is definetely John's son.. Jared was freakin' fantastic during all those scenes, not to mention that he looks damn good when he's pissed off

I also loved the scene between Sam and Bobby at the end, that killed me especially Bobby's line "you break my heart kid" the way Jim delivered that line was heartbreaking to me.. and speaking of heartbreaking Sam and the Trickster when Sam was begging him to bring Dean back Jared is amazing!

This episode was full of brotherly love, we finally got Sam hugging Dean and I loved hearing Dean call him Sammy, no matter how many times I hear him say it it always makes me smile, I love it! The whole end of the episode was great..

The trickster being brought back was a big shock.. although I saw Richard Speight Jr's name at the beggining so I knew about it before it was actually revealed.. but it was still really cool...

Next Week looks AMAZING! I think that is the best SPN promo I have ever seen, it was great.. Can't wait!!
