It was amazing anyway you try to look at it. Absolutely no problems with it whatsoever!
So sad it didn't reflect that in the ratings...


(slightly) FAVOURTIE MOMENTS

Sam's dream and the fallout: Generally, I'm not crazy about Bela, but that was actually cute and rather funny.

Anything Dean-Bobby (especially in the dream sequence): I've felt that was the kind of relationship those two had from the first moment we saw Bobby. It was nice to see it verified. And Jensen and Jim knocked it off the ballpark!

Dean VS Dean: Chills down my spine! That pretty much covers me.


OTHER OBSERVATIONS

- Sam killing dream guy in his sleep? Creepy....

- I have to say I kinda enjoyed how Bela was organically intergrated in this episode. Doesn't make me like her more but at least it made sence for her to be there. Even if it was a way to get her to steal the colt.

- I know Kripke explained the saturation thing in his TVGuide intervirew, and it was nice to get an asnwer to that and the acknowledgement that it might not be working (IMHO it's definitelly not...) so I guess having the old saturation for a huge part of this episode was very pleasant to me.

This episode has to be one of the best in the season and in the series. How is was put together, going from dream to the real world was great. I loved the lighting and the music. I think I might be the only person not bother by the difference in the saturation.

Bobby: How I love him and wish there was more of him. Am so glad that we got to know some of his backstory. Sam's comment about how any other case they would be calling Bobby. And how Dean told Bobby he was like a father to him made me smile. It shows how important in their lives Bobby has become. The boys still need a father figure in their lives. And I do believe Bobby needs them in his life just as much. After seeing what happen to his wife, Bobby needs the human companionship. He gets to pass on wisdom and experience to the boys. He fond of both of them for different reasons and I don't think he means this but I think he has a soft spot for Dean.

Sam: This boy has really step up to the plate on getting ready for the war. I do love his wallowing scene in the very beginning, it shows that the old Sammy is still there. He may have to get ready for the war that is coming, but he is still just a human man who is sad about his big brother dying. The look of sadness on his face, I just wanted to give him a hug. I glad Dean didn't mention that Ruby was lying about being able to save Dean. Though I bet she will be the one who lets them know who has Dean's contract. Sam has grown up a lot, sure he's still vulnerable and still looks to his big brother for reassurance. But not everything in black and white anymore, he realize that he has to step up to the plate and be the hunter that his father and brother trained all those years ago. I love the dream with Bella, it was a surprise. It was also funny, mostly his facial expressions, especially when he woke up. I think poor Sammy had a awkward physical event happening and it is why he didn't give up from the chair.

Bella: I still like her and still think she is funny, smart, and cunning. But that was a below the belt move in taking the colt. I remember her look on fear in Bloodlust when Dean said in a very serious voice that he was going to kill her. She didn't want that to happen, so she told them about Gordon. Because she knew that Dean was very capable of tracking her down and he wouldn't kill her nicely. And Bella knows that the boys won't laugh this off, and they won't stop until they get that gun back. Either she is possessed, she is being paid by someone who is possessed, or she is really that stupid to take the colt for money.

Winchester Boys: I love the scene in the beginning where Sam was moping in the bar with his whiskey. Dean was very much the big brother in that scene. Keeping to himself what Ruby said about not being able to save him. So Sam wouldn't become more deppressed. Sam being protective of Dean and coming into the dream world with Dean was adorable and so Sam. I do wish that Dean had told Sam about what he saw in his dream, that poor boy has got to talk to someone. Something like that is never a good thing to hold in. Least he confided in Sam, that he doesn't want to go to hell. In that scene Sam acted like the big brother who was going to make everything ok.

Dean: Let me count the ways how I love him. Dean was great how he was protective of Sam and Bobby. I'm glad it was Dean who got Bobby to come out of his nightmare. I'm glad it was finally said out loud, how Bobby is like a father to Dean. Dean after no sleep for two days was hilarious. Dean + no sleep = Very Cranky (and funny) Dean. I did want to smack Dean upside the head for being so stupid to drink the beer. But then there wouldn't be that amazing scene of the two Deans. That has to be one of the best scenes in all of Supernatural history. I had to rewind it a few times to understand what Dean was first saying about John. I know that John's love for Dean has always been a weakness for Dean. I wish Dean would realize how much his father loved him and how even though it was very late John realized it too. I think it was seeing Dean in that hospital bed with all the tubes that John saw his vulnerable son who he made grow up into a man when he was four. How John wasted so much of his life in the supernatural that he was throwing away the two most important things in his life. John would rather go to take Dean's place and go to hell than let his son die. I bet any parent would do the same thing, a parent's greatest fear is too loose a child. Dean needs to overcome this part of his relationship with his father or it will destroy him.

The dream Sam had with Bella was hilarious! One of the funniest scenes in third season! Sammy's face was so cute when he woke up

Bobby, was great! But I am a little disappointed because we didn't see much of his history = just that he killed his wife because she was possessed, that's it! I dunno, may be it's just me

Bella - I adore her She's smart and gorgeous, she rocks! I agree she does tricks but I think Dean and Sam secretly like her because she could be in good use

Dean! - Oh, man, where do you want me to start!!! The scene between Dean and Dean 2 was like the best scene ever!!!!! What they've told each other, the emotion between them, the anger and the pain in their conversation was delivered by Jensen perfectly! He is so talented and he proved it for like 1000 time in this episode








The last pic creeps me out! I was like WTF? Wasn't the real Dean the one who was click his fingers?!

Oh man. This episode was just downright scary. I usually don't get creeped out easily, but somehow this one got under my skin.
And I agree with you, it was an amazing episode! Especially the end, where evil!Dean clicked his fingers... WTF?!? Nat ITA. Black-eyed Dean is HAWT. That just proves that both of 'em brothers would make a handsome devil
Dean could not be any more amazing... he takes my breath away, and Jensen was on fire. Boy, that man can act!! Daaayymm!!!
And the low ratings are just ****ty news. People do not know what they're missing.

Hmmm... something is lacking on the episode, I just couldn't pin point what exactly it is. But I liked it anyway. Can I say Jensen was fantastic?! He really was! And we got a glimpse of evil!Dean, that was way creepy but really interesting.

Pardon me because I only watched it once as of now. And you know when i watched it once I tend to say so many side notes (wincest parts) and miss most the stuff the episode has to offer. So I'll watch it again and write more later.

Sam and Bela scene? I didn't really mind her. Imagine that?! I actually didn't see her on the scene. It was all Sammy getting hot and naughty for me. I guess I was warned so I knew what to expect. Thanks Fla. If not I might not focused much on Sam and see Bela and it'll annoy the crap out of me.

Just ok for me, loved the Evil!Dean part it was so trippy, Jensen was brilliant loved the scene Sam and Dean in the bar and at the end when Dean admits he does not want to die was cool getting some Bobby history and I guess the way they all became hunters was killing someone they loved or watching them die

I have yet to understand Bela purpose on the show other than being a thieving bitch woopdeedoo, its so tired, again we need this on the show because?… if there is a point to this please make it known, to put the boys in their place is that it? guess that means undermining them at every chance. Why is it when she is around they become fumbling idiots, stealing the colt and they had no clue she was up to something The sex scene was just another obvious forced ploy to lure the guys I guess, or girls although I knew about this sex scene long ago it did not prepare me for this, seeing Bela in lingerie was the most horrifying experience ever, I am scarred for life. Sam after the dream turned into a complete drooling school boy WTF you think he never seen boobs or been laid before, so ridiculous maybe the ratings will make EK realize he needs to dump Bela or make her role more believable, sure blame the ratings drop on Lost but Lost premiered last week too and the ratings were not this bad.

I highly doubt that ratings slump can be all put on Bela's shoulders. It's not like she was in the preview last week or anything. and Bela might be a bitch (and yes I'm a Bela fan and I say this) but Bela/Lauren is gorgeous. and Sam is all sorts of hot when he's kissing, so that scene totally worked for me. is she girlfriend material? No, One night stand? sure why not. and if they get rid of Bela then they better get rid of Ruby while they're at it. but if we keep Ruby and not Bela that is just wrong!

I actually am for getting the girls off of the show but I'm on the other side of the fence, I'd rather have Bela gone that Ruby. Ruby's story is much more entwined with the brothers story. What about Bela? Aside from (and I quote Jaye on this) "being a thieving bitch woopdeedoo" I would say she's one disposable character. Unless, Kripke is planning something huge for her, if yes, please make it soon because I'm horrified on every episode that she's on. I don't get the point as well to have that sex scene other than make us drool more because agressive and sexy Sammy is the way to be! Anyway, just my two cents.

Of course not the entire decline on her but I am sure Bela had a big part of the ratings drop, from what I have been reading of other posters, its just like RSAM when the ratings dropped in the last half hour, I changed the channel and maybe others did as well and this time also, preview or not I knew Bela was gonna be in this one and so did others, get rid of both those bitches I'd say, as far as the sex scene goes just glad it was not with Dean, tune Bela out and its fine. I am no fan or Ruby but at least her role has a purpose, Bela lovers still can not justify her purpose of being on the show

Gay I agree with being horrified when Bela is on, when I know that I am so uninspired to watch, just make sense of it already.

Jaye Yeah, I was hoping she can still redeem herself in my perspective but so far, she's dropping big time! Errr... yeah, I lasted the entire episode because, you know, i love Jensen and Jared, and yeah, it's good to have someone warn you about her impeding horrific scene. I survived because I was just focused on Sam. Way to go Gay! And my brain just worked Wincest way ~ I saw Dean instead of her.

I actually read my magazine when Bela was on, except the sex scene of course I had to see Sammy in action, Ok I am not a wincester that stuff highly freaks me out but even I would take that scene over seeing Sam with Bela

So rather then sit through a scene of an annoying character that is only signed on for 12 episodes anyway, it's better to change the channel, not support the show, let it fall in the ratings and get canceled? ..well at least we wouldn't have to put up with Ruby and Bela anymore right?
