not really surprised by his death, but he will be greatly missed. he was such a talented musician. i loved his music in STP and in VR. wasnt crazy about his solo stuff. i kept hoping he would get his act together and stop with the drugs. he had two kids and a wife who loved him.

His show was cancelled the night before because of low ticket sales, and they found cocaine in the bunk where he was found. It's such a shame. :no:

his health was deteriorating months before this. you could really see the drugs taking over. and his own bandmate is the one supplying the drugs to him .. wtf?

Very true! It's sad his addiction cost him his life. :(

I'm a little late to this but RIP Scott! Your talent will never be forgotten.

I've listened to Velvet Revolver and STP so much mroe than usual since Scott's passing (I normally listened to an album at least once a month as I grew up with STP...Core was one of my first cassette tapes). RIP to a true and pure talent.
