I'm jealous of those of you whose family have seen Queen in their original lineup in concert. Darn my birth year being the year after they stopped touring.

I've heard good things about the Queen + Paul Rodgers stuff too, that duet with Freddie and him in Bohemian Rhapsody sounds awesome! Brian's such a sweetheart too having the audience sing for Freddie in Love of My Life.

It originially aired in the UK last month but has anyone heard of a new biography on Queen on TV? It's called Days of Our Lives and is going to be on the Biography channel next Monday. I saw it via YouTube and it is amazing. I learned some new stuff about some of the band's history and it has awesome interviews, footage, etc.

Almost same here. I was 2 years old when they had their last tour, a tad too young to go to a concert

Oh no, I've never heard of that! It sounds amazing, would you mind posting the youtube link?

It’s been a while since there was posting in this thread But I have watched the documentary and I loved it. I enjoyed getting so much background info and I just love listening to Brian May tell stories

On another note... On this day 20 years ago, Freddie died. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years already. I was only 7 when he died, but I remember it vividly how it was all over the news and on TV. Back then, I didn’t know him of course, but I realized he must have been quite well-known. Little did I know that a huge talent had just left this life.

May Freddie rest in peace. His memory will surely live on forever

I was only four when Freddie died and despite my parents playing a lot of classic rock Queen wasn't among them. I didn't get into their music until high school.
I did listen to some Queen today as a memory/tribute to Freddie. He will always be missed and treasured no matter how many years go by I think.
On a positive note, I'm glad you liked the documentary Steffi. Brian does tell great stories. I hope one day that special is released in the US, so far it's only in the UK.

It was his last tour but his last show was in August 1986. That's 25 years ago sheesh.

Oh God 25 years, where has time gone?

And the ironic part is, during the Wembley performance, Freddie told the audience that Queen would stay together until they would die.

That always tears me up when he says that. He also goes on to joke (showing my big fan/geekness here) that he keeps wanting to leave but they won't let him.

You’re welcome

Oh right, I had totally forgotten about that they won’t let him leave
I was at a Queen + Paul Rodgers concert in 2008, and at one point Brian May got his acoustic guitar, sat on a stool and said “Let’s sing this one for Freddie” and started playing “Love of my life”. I swear I was fighting back my tears so hard
