Career

Hot Chelle Rae began in 2005, with Ryan and Nash. After several changes to the
lineup, Ian (who had been childhood friends with Nash) came to a show and
decided "I can play bass". The three began working on songs, and newer dancier
sound. Jamie, R.K.'s younger brother joined the band immediately after
graduating high school, and the band was complete. The band claims it gets its
name from the first "dedicated" (crazy) fan, Chelle Rae. A Myspace stalker/faker
who provided the band with quite an entertaining era of online activity until her
false identity was discovered and brought to light. In the summer of 2007, the
band opened a sold out concert for rapper Lil Jon. Later on they played a string of
venues at the prestigious South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas,
and then went on tour with the band Vedera.

They were signed to Jive Records in October 2008, and then began work on their
first album. In January 2009, Hot Chelle Rae recorded Lovesick Electric and
then went on tour with Third Eye Blind. After they ended their run with them, the
band went on a small 7 show run opening for The Academy Is.... HCR toured with
Sherwood from February 26 to August 2 of 2010, and on April 17, 2010, they
opened for Owl City's Grand Prairie concert in Texas. On April 22, 2010, they
opened for Cobra Starship at George Mason University. On April 23, 2010, they
opened for Cobra Starship and Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove,
Pennsylvania. The band headed to Australia on July 4 2010 for a two week tour
with Boys Like Girls before going back to the US to play at the Vans Warped Tour

^ yeye thanks and yes i did after the show they came out a lot of girls got picture with them i got a pciture with the lead singer cacuase he was my fav and my firend got a pic with the rest of the band
