I understand why they did it. It was more realistic... Although I wished in a way that he would start to get feeling back but by then he had adapted to his life, and was able to figure out a new life. Because I always loved his experiments. And how complex they got in his quest to solve a case in his way.
But he would just find his own way to make experiments work from a chair... __________________

His experiments were such blast to watch. He totally immersed himself to be a "mad scientist" yet with the restraint of being permitted to do it at work, but safely. He always had a kid glee in his quest to devise a experiment. And loved Cam's disapproval, yet her grunting acceptance in most circumstances...
Makes me curious how he would be as Head of the Lab. Taking over Cam's job. He always excelled as a rebellious force against the bureaucracy, and for him to be the head would be a interesting change... __________________

It made the show fun to watch. The fact it wasn't the standard cop buddy show... The fact he could get so much glee in bugs and dirt, and yet turn around and come up with imaginative experiments to figure out how the crime happened.
