Oh he definitely did. Remember he asked Angela if Booth and Brennan were together clearly he was asking because he wanted them to be.

Max's death was brutal. I don't even understand the logistics of it, but Pelant (or whoever) doxed his pacemaker? I didn't even know pacemakers were doxable.

His death was brutal. I believe that the killer who was after Booth used Max's pacemaker to track him and planned on having everyone including the Christine and Hank.

My mom was so upset when Max died. She was in denial; she kept saying that he wasn't dead.

I did too. Brennan lost Max when she was 15 and then she lost him a second time.

It was a classic gotcha. They set up the health issues, and then boom when she finally thinks he is doing fine (despite him not telling her of those health issues), he's taken from her... It given some added tension in those last episodes. As she forced to comfront losing her father for real this time.
