Rachel as Allie Hamilton in "The Notebook" #4 - Because she calls her audition "really bizarre and surreal"!

Rachel as Allie Hamilton in "The Notebook" #4 - Because she calls her audition "really bizarre and surreal"!

Reasons why we like Allie Hamilton:

1.1.Because she goes to Sarah Lawrence.
2. Because she's a bird.
3. Because she followed her heart.
4. Because she still remembered Noah at the end.
5. Because she's a Southern belle.

TFTNT Amanda I keep seeing some comments about a Notebook 2 movie I don't know where that came up from but it's good to see people getting so excited about it even though it might never happen

Russell Crowe did an interview on the Today Show with Ryan Gosling, Shane Black, and Matt Bomer. Willie Geist, the interviewer, asked Russell if he's watched the Notebook, and this is what Russell said:

Quote:
"Look, even though I've worked with Rachel [McAdams] and I'm friends with [director] Nick Cassavetes, I haven't seen 'The Notebook. Sorry."
Matt Bomer has seen the movie and admitted to crying while watching the movie.

Actress Teresa Palmer on being a Notebook fan:

Quote:
Turns out Palmer has an embarrassing obsession with another Sparks adaptation, The Notebook.

"I was that dork that had The Notebook stationery set," she said.

"I don't know if you knew that existed, but it did, and it's sitting in my house."

She even had framed photos of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling as their characters in the movie on her wall.

And making her then-boyfriend, comedian Russell Brand, watch the movie (she mentioned this story while being on Conan):

I loved that someone mentioned The Notebook in Gosling's presence. Between the two leads of that movie, it's usually Rachel who still gets asked about it even after a decade. Very refreshing to see Gosling (or his co-star in this case) getting asked about it I also loved the fact that Russell Crowe mentioned his working with Rachel. I hope they work together again in the future

Came across this interview of Tyrese Gibson, who was promoting Death Race in 2008. Tyrese was in the movie with Joan Allen (who played Allie's mom in The Notebook) and he said he became a fan of hers after watching The Notebook. He cried in the movie and said it's one of his favourite movies:

Actor Sam Claflin said this:

Quote:
My favourite romantic comedies are Notting Hill and Love Actually. I love The Notebook, it’s not much of a comedy but definitely a romantic film. It still manages to bring a tear to my eye. I watched them prior to meeting my wife, though she’s definitely a fan as well. It’s nice to be able to sit down on a Sunday afternoon and watch a romantic comedy under a blanket together.

New quote from Genna Rowlands on The Notebook:
Quote:
You worked with your son, Nick Cassavetes, on “The Notebook.” Were you surprised by how intensely that film was embraced?
I didn’t think it would have that kind of impact. I think it was such a big hit because it was about the realization that love can last your whole life. You don’t see it depicted that way a lot. In most films you don’t get to see a story like that go from the beginning to the end with the possibility that love can be perhaps eternal.
