Veronica Mars Season 2 - Your hopes, predictions and expectations
 

Now that Season One is finished and Season Two is just around the corner (Well, not really. But thinking otherwise depresses me), what are you expecting/hoping to see from Season Two?

- Who's at the door?

- Is this the last we've seen from Lilly?

- How/will Logan and Veronica reunite?

- How will Logan deal with the identity of Lilly's murderer?

Yeah. :( I wish it wasn't, but Amanda said in an interview it was.

I really just want the show to stay the same... according to that Kristen column, which I won't say anything about because of spoilers, it doesn't seem like that's happening. :(

I don't know all the answers, just what I want the answers to be. :lol:
I want LoVe to be reunited as soon as possible, hopefully they will get back together while he deals with the fact that his father killed his girlfriend. He will of course be angry with the world for what he's going through ( I can't blame him) but I hope he comes to terms with Veronica soon because he will need someone to help him through it all.

I agree Cruel Irony, my one hope for s2 right now is that they let do RT do his own thing... :(

Hmmm I see I am probably in the minority by not really caring if we see Lilly again. I usually liked her- she was very unique and fun to watch. But I think that now that the murder has been wrapped up there's just no purpose of her anymore, and if they did keep her in flashbacks it would probably be boring.

I'm hoping it's Wallace at the door. Just seems to be the most appropriate person.

LoVe will reunite, but I don't really know how. There's just so many ways it can play out, and I can't decide which I actually want to happen. :lol:

As far as how Logan will deal with his dad being the murderer- I just hope he doesn't have to do so alone. I hope V and Duncan as well as others are there for him.

I'm going crazy thinking of how Logan and Veronica will reunite, but I do not want to see it happen straight away. I am a bit weird like this, but I'd rather see them go through that angst period, perhaps where Logan pushes Veronica away, especially after finding out it was his father who killed Lilly. Then I'd like to see them work out their issues, and then get back together.

I think I'd be really disappointed if they made up too soon. They have too much to get through and work out before they can go back to the way they were.

I'd like to still see Lilly but I guess that's not happening and a great triangle between Logan, Veronica, and Duncan. Also I hope that everything that Kristin V said isn't true.

I can't wait for season 2.

I hope that either it was Duncan or Wallace at the door.

I think that we won't see much of Lily anymore.

Who's at the door?

I think it would be too early on in the second season for Veronica to hook back up with Logan or Duncan. So, to keep it neutral, I'm gonna go with it being Wallace at the door. Just because Veronica's love life is a cliffhanger doesn't necessarily mean that the person at the door has to be a love interest.

What I hope- which isn't necessarily what I think, although sometimes the two mesh-

* Logan is at the door to make sure Veronica is ok after being brutally attacked and almost killed. They have a long talk. He understands why she betrayed him, but he isn't ready to date her again. He spends the summer in therapy. The 09ers don't abandon him, because they are shallow and he is rich.

* Logan and Veronica become sorta friendly/sorta snarky (no malice) for awhile but don't get back together until 2 months later.

* Veronica and Duncan become friendly again, but don't date.

* We won't see Lilly anymore.

* Aaron dies from his injuries leaving his money to Logan and Trina. The Kanes don't follow through with their vendetta.

* The Kanes pay a fine but no jail time for the obstruction of justice charge.

* Duncan rebels against his parents next year. He is still involved with school stuff, but he no longer respects their authority because of the coverup and the unwarranted medication of him. Plus he learns he doesn't need all of that medicine he has been taking, so he can loosen up.

* Duncan realizes the shame of possible incest and the abrupt way in which they broke up is what has been keeping him from moving on. Now that the truth is out, he realizes he isn't in love with Veronica anymore and dates other people. Late in season 2 he gets back together with Meg. He also learns that Logan spiked his drink. While mad, he is too relieved at not being "responsible" for sleeping with the girl he thought was his sister so he doesn't hold a grudge.

* Keith and Alicia continue to date, but they do not move in together or get married (I still want V to be able to sneak in and out at all hours)

* Weevil dates Carmen. He helps V out sometimes. And is sometimes snarky with Logan. Good times had by all.

* Wallace continues to be a basketball star and gets a girlfriend for a month. Then she moves away.

* Luke comes back and needs V's help again; Dick gets an STD; Beaver stands up for himself and becomes more popular than Dick; Madison comes crawling to Veronica for help with a personal problem.

That is my rosey colored hope for next season. Not that it will happen.

Duncan or Logan.I can't make up my mind about that....though the 3.07=LO.E does seem too much of a coincidence...

I actually would love that and I think it'd be surprising enough,but sadly,definitely not dramatic enough for TV.

The expected way to take the story would be to have Logan devastated(that he will be for sure,whatever happens),running away from Veronica and Duncan,trying to ease the pain by getting wasted or wearing his OPJ mask full time.He really has the potential to become the lead male character for a few months....

Veronica and Duncan become close friends again,both looking out for Logan.

Veronica will do everything she can to get to Logan,to get his trust back,to prove him he's nothing like his father and to show him she's not ready to give up on him.

Duncan will start being himself again.Fun guy to hang out with and yeah,he may start rebelling against his folks.He'll try to get closer to Veronica,to win her back but even if he succeeds,I doubt this is gonna work out.He'll realize they both needed closure and that they can't go back time.

One of the first cases of Mars Investigation will be to get the check back from Lianne,if that's possible.

I can see Veronica being a little less of an outcast than last season.Maybe even being acknowledged by guys like Luke,Casey or Beaver.I'd like to see that.

Weevil will keep on giving V a hand when she needs it and maybe they'll get him a job at Mars Inv.

Mac will still be around to help her out(and likewise).Maybe they can work out something at school to win some cash,I dunno.

Veronica and Logan will reunite when one of them will be in serious trouble.I'm thinking Veronica could save his life,endangering herself,which will be enough for Logan to forgive her.

SpySyd, I don't really disagree with you. I do think it is Logan at the door because if the horrible events that just happened to Veronica, he will be able to check his own "woe is me" for a minute. Once he finds out she is ok, I do expect him to run away and be alone. (I guess I edited my post too much because it was so long, and I left some important stuff out.) I think he was at the beach to yell at her and then ask to be taken back, so it isn't a stretch for me to think he can forgive again her early next season. The character could go either way, depending how the *writers* want to do it. He will also be devastated about his dad, so he will be angry. I really hope Aaron dies though, cuz I don't want to deal with all that. And I don't want to see Logan super poor or a super outcast. Both of those are Veronica's positions and she is the star of the show, so it would take away from the drama if that happened.

I agree.It could really go both ways and I absolutely cannot wait to see which route they picked.

I honestly don't think he will be.He won't be an outcast,unless he wants to and for the money...well,we know he's got plenty of that from his mom,at least, so no worries.
