loved everything about this episode. cant believe we have to wait until next year to find out what the fork happens.

Derek was an incredible character.
i was laughing so hard. the whole bugs bunny style sign when he couldnt stop saying Jason was brilliant.

also loved Janet and Eleanor's moment. and really loved every scene that Michael, Eleanor and Chidi shared, all together, and split into twosomes.

Eleanors new level of trust in Michael as well, "just reboot us and bring us up to speed" vibe was quite a thing.

so yeah. LOVED it. but now... what the fork.

all signs of an incredible show. that it makes us doubt and second guess every single thing. and then second guess that second guessing.

There's one thing in this ep that confused me: If Chidi is so chronically indecisive that he was sent to the bad place, why was he able to tell Eleanor he didn't love her? last season, he was speechless and overwhelmed when told Eleanor, Tahani and 'real' Eleanor now Vicky loved him: "don't ask me that, my stomach hurts" and my personal favorite, "I love you too, egg." This was how he was tortured. Eleanor's question should have reduced him to stuttering hysterics. And remember, Chidi doesn't lie (the red cowboy boots thing soured him on lying. He might not love Eleanor, but the question should have destroyed him. Come to think of it, has Chidi been indecisive in S2... I can't think of one time.

Something fishy is going on!

eleanor's "wink" and run in that scene might've been my favorite throwaway moment, as well as when she told everyone to look away, but that she was going to keep watching

i REALLY hope derek comes back at some point, because he's now officially my second favorite guest star (adam scott will always be the first). and i'm gonna need january to get here reeeeeal quick, because that's the bad part about only having 13 episodes, the winter hiatus starts sooner than the rest of the shows

hmmmm... you have a point. he really did manage to answer that quite smoothly, and quickly. he is not able to lie, but is equally unable to hurt someone in any way... and the Chidi we know would have thought that his answer there may have hurt Eleanor. especially based on what he had just seen... and the fact that he knows that Eleanor has been watching that video over and over again. Thats an interesting development.

he was fairly indecisive on the Trolley. maybe that's what 'broke' him?

two classics.
and agreed, i really hope that Derek makes his way back for some more crazy.

just thoughts on that final scene.
it would be far too obvious a twist that Michael is working with Shaun and his infiltration was part of a 'plan'. And as time has gone on, as much as i like the idea, its pretty much become almost too obvious a twist that Michael himself is in his own torture cycle. (perhaps for blowing the first take of this whole thing)... but where the fork does that leave us really? The mark of great storytelling, that i keep waiting for the floor to drop away.

Yup. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm absolutely convinced Chidi will be a part of the "twist," if there is one. Thinking back on it, during Team Cockroach, Chidi convinces the group to accept Michael's plan - at that point - they had only been rebooted for a week, which means there was no time for character growth. Eleanor was against it, Tahani was neutral (until Michael tells her about her embarrassing death) and Jason was... well, Jason was Jason playing with a sparkler.

There was a time limit, 30 minutes to notify Vicky , and Chidi calmly and collectedly, decided to trust Michael instead of Eleanor's instincts, instincts we know have an knack for unraveling Micheal's deceits.
