Really? I can't even imagine those girls in the role. Kristen did an amazing job.

Did we ever hear that she beat out Jessica Biel and Lindsay Lohan for the role? I love hearing little stories about that stuff.

Ouch. I love Ebert, he screens all of the films at the theater in Chicago that I used to work at, so I knew he wouldn't be impressed.

so the reviews have been so-so thus far, but nobody seems to have many complaints abour kristen's role which is a plus.

I just got home from seeing Burlesque and I loved the movie!! Kristen did such a great job as Nikki in the film. She was such a mean girl and I completely loved it!! I also liked that we eventually got to see an emotional side to the character as well. Great movie. :)

Glad you enjoyed :bunny:

And lol, probably wouldn't have been much of a stretch for Lindsay. I never think about the other famous people they must have beat out for the roles

I saw it today and really enjoyed Kristen's part. The whole movie wasn't bad, but Kristen was the highlight like I expected. And that reviewer that said she can't dance was dead wrong. She kept up really well!

She was awesome in this movie, the character was just a little out there (bitchy) but I loved her in this role it's really a great part for her to play. :D

The whole cast was spectaculer in this. It's one of the best writen and acted movies and I think I might just see it again. :D

haven't seen it yet, the holiday kind of messed with my plans, but I'm hoping to see it some time this week!!

Monkeygirl_03 11-29-2010 06:40 PM

I saw it on Saturday and thought it was fantastic. I loved all the singing/dancing as well as the actual plot of the movie. Kristen was awesome as a bitch! She needs to play more roles like this one. I thought that Julianne Hough was actually pretty great and hope to see her further her acting career. I will definitely see this movie again....possibly in the theater again!
