^ Oh, yeah!
  I'm going to have to re-watch the episode to remind myself what happened. The only thing I remember from that episode is the part where Shawn told Cory that he was protecting family. >> "Eddie's only blood. You're my family."       __________________

^ Yes, he did. Even though Cory wasn't Shawn's blood, it was obvious that Shawn was going to do whatever he could to make sure Cory didn't get in too much trouble, that he was safe.

Yeah, Shawn thought that maybe he could stay out of it, but that was never going to happen - there was really no choice to be made between Cory & Eddie

^ That's true. I bet Shawn saw that 'maybe he won't see us if we don't move' idea on a TV show, and he figured it couldn't hurt to try it on Mr. Feeny when he caught Shawn and Cory in the janitor's closet.
