^ I got that vibe from them too. I think Shawn and Jack were both just trying to enjoy the time that they were able to spend with Chet. If they had known what was going to happen, they definitely would have taken different steps to maintain their connection with Chet and each other.

They really had no warning that something could happen to Chet, if they had, they would have done things differently for sure

^ Oh, yeah. Even though Shawn and Jack were worried that Chet was in the hospital, I don't think they thought that they were going to lose him. I'm sure they both planned to spend more time with him after he was released, but when he died, they lost their chance to heal their relationships with him. I wish they had realized that they should lean on each other to grieve, so that they could help each other heal.

They were both so devastated when they were told Chet was dead, despite how worried they were, I don't think they actually thought that would happen

^ That's true. All Shawn had to say or do to convince Jack that he should be on his side was to remind him that they were brothers, and that brothers couldn’t be opposite sides of a war. I don't doubt that they would have been on the same side if Rachel hadn't been slightly more convincing by offering Jack cookies. =p

How do you think things would have unfolded if another character had told Jack that there was a war brewing between Shawn (and his friends) and Rachel (and her friends), and Jack had to choose between them? Would Jack have chosen Shawn right away, or would he have to be convinced? What do you think? =)

I'm not sure, he was quite a neutral guy, I think he would just do whatever someone told him to do

I love that episode! Considering how much bickering Shawn and Jack did in that scene, nobody would have guessed that they had never shared a room before that moment.

^ Right? It didn't take Shawn and Jack much or long to get on each other's nerves. It was kind of fun and important that they dealt with their differences during that time. I think it only brought them closer together.
