It would have been amazing, I mean, think about the reunions we got with Shawn/Turner & Eric/Jack, a Shawn/Jack moment & hug would have been just as amazing!

^ I can't imagine it either. Even though I don't remember specific moments, I like to think of them as big huggers.

I'm sure that the did have some hugs, I'm pretty sure that they had one in the finale

^ Yeah. The hug in the series finale is the only hug that I remember them having. I look forward to finding out that they had more than the one hug.

It was an early s5 episode, where Shawn was telling Cory how he had always wanted a brother, & that he used to send Jack letters all the time, but Jack never responded. Jack overheard & told Shawn that he never got the letters, otherwise he would have connected with him sooner

^ Oh, that does sound familar.

Clearly they both wanted to form a brotherly bond. It makes me so sad that they didn't get a chance to connect back then.

^ I agree. We know that Shawn wrote letters to Jack, wanting to make a connection with him. I always think about how Jack not getting Shawn's letters played a big part in them not connecting sooner. Jack didn't know that Shawn had reached out to him, and Shawn didn't know that Jack never got his letters.

Yeah, that was definitely the reason why Shawn wasn't very happy with him at first. If Jack had known though, he would have been in Shawn's life a lot sooner
