Even though it was a truly heartbreaking scene, it is still one of my favorite Shawn scenes. We got to hear Shawn voice some of his long-buried feelings, which let us see how hurt he really was.

Rider did an amazing job in that scene.

He did, & I'm glad he finally said some of that stuff out loud too. He never let Chet see how much he hurt him, but he finally reached his breaking point

^ Yes. Shawn always gave off a tough-guy vibe to show that he wasn't affected by the bad things that happened to him, but in that moment with Chet, he couldn't do it anymore. Having his father there in front of him opened the gates. He finally had his father there long enough to let him know how he felt. Sadly, it happened when his father was in a hospital bed.

Rider did such a great job in that scene. No matter how many times I watch it, it gets to me.

This show was really good at that sometimes!

I like to think they would have made amends and had a better bond if Chet had lived. Shawn telling Chet how he had been feeling was definitely a step in the right direction to heal their relationship.
