For me, the best part about the couple was that they were interracial, but it wasn't a big deal. I think it set a really good precedent for such couples on TV, being one of the first on a teenage sitcom.

I agree. Their relationship was more about Shawn needing someone like her, and it was never about race. Their relationship always felt natural and was interesting.

I loved that all of Shawn's friends knew how good they were together. Cory and Topanga were so supportive of them.
