I think that might have been due to the fact that Smackle wasn't really part of the gang until late season two. We didn't really get a chance to know her as more than Farkle's nemesis. Once she joined the gang, then we were exposed to her more so we found out the kind of person she is.


Smackle now has a circle of friends that include different types of personalities. These people have definitely influenced her in one way or another. I like to believe that her change in her style has been due to her spending time with the gang, which has made her become more comfortable in her skin. To be honest, I haven't really noticed the change in her style. It has just seemed natural to me.

I've loved her style throughout the seasons. As much as she wants to be 'normal', I think she has just grown up and found what works for her.

That's what I said! Smackle doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would change who she is to fit in. I love her for being fearless when it comes to saying and doing things that she feels like saying and doing.

^ Exactly. She's only really been part of the group for one season, and even then she's been a supporting player, so viewers see her on the fringes anyway. I hope TPTB show us more of her this season. It doesn't even have to be an episode dedicated completely to her. I'd settle for seeing her shine more.

I missed her in the last ep.......sad that she is one of the disposable ones that they take out and bring back. I would have thought she would have been there with everyone since she has History with them.

^ Of the core six, Smackle is one of two characters who is only there half the time. If the episode calls for the friends to come together to encourage or discourage one of them, then it only seems right that all of the characters be there. It would have been fun to see Smackle in the mix. Can you imagine what her take on Red Planet Diaries?

I think that if they even were regulars, it wouldn't make much difference - I mean, look at how little Lucas has had this season outside of the triangle

This show is starting to feel less & less like an ensemble.....

Yeah, I think the balance in ACM was pretty good, lots of the kids all hanging out together & everyone got good moments! I loved the Smackle/Zay!

I wish it were so. They are part of the core group half of the time, and this limbo of 'here today, gone tomorrow' switches makes me sad. =(

You know it! Do you think she watched/liked the show before she joined the group of friends, do you think they introduced it to her and she ended up loving it as much as they do?


Right on! Sometimes I think her being there half the time is good. It makes me really appreciate her moments when she is part of the mix.


That was definitely something that I really enjoyed. Don't even get me started on Smackle and Zay.

Initially, I also thought the gift was insensitive, but once Zay explained that he crossed out passages of the book and he wrote in the margins all the things that he likes about her, I loved the gesture.

I really loved this scene! Smackle got a chance to feel what it's like to be pretty, but she also realized that nothing is more important than remember the person she is on the inside.

Maybe that's what you would assume I would say, considering the effort I put into my appearance.
