^ I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He did have a knowing look on his face when he said "Okay". I think he saw the way Maya was looking at that photo, and it took him three seconds to know that she wanted what was in that photo: the permanence of family.

I can see that being the case. I think Shawn knew what Maya wanted, but he didn't feel the need to push her to admit it. He gave her the time and space to get there on her own so that she could admit it to him and Katy. The interesting thing is that she (probably) never did admit it, but they still knew how happy she would be to have that stability.

Yeah, I'm sure that if it did come up again, then Maya would have told him, but even if it hadn't ever come up again, I think it's somethign that they had all realized

I think they connected the way they did, because they knew one another's hearts and minds, so they knew how they were feeling and what they were thinking. Shawn and Katy must have know that Maya would want that stability, because they wanted that stability too.
