^ That was an unexpected turn of events. I didn't think Maya was going to have such a strong reaction to Shawn.
   It was also kind of fun to see Maya trying not to like Shawn. Fortunately for us, Shawn found a way to connect with Maya, and she discovered that he wasn't such a bad guy,  __________________

^ I think they both put up walls. I didn't even notice the moment they both let down those walls and trust that the bond between them was a permanent thing. Like you said, it happened naturally.

^ I agree. It was so obvious the second Shawn and Maya first met that they were going to have a special relationship.

^ Oh, yes. I think Shawn wanted to be that person for Maya, because I'm sure there were moments when he was her age that he felt like he didn't have that person in his life.

I think Maya understood that Shawn was just as unsure as she was, but the fact that he wanted to try for her was all she wanted from him.  __________________
