Less than two hours here! :thud: Although I probably won't get to watch live, I will watch sometime tonight :D We don't get part two until Sunday here, the wait will suuuuck :(

Well I've shipped Maya and Lucas since day one (atleast over Riley and Lucas).
But is it just me or does some of this not feel entirely sincere from Rileys point of view?
Maybe I'm just trying to expect some double twist here but for some reason I don't feel entirely convinced. Might be due to the lack of Maya and Lucas expressing themselves as this episode was mostly about Riley in that sense.

Cant wait for tomorrow and the day after that :D

EDIT: Yeah there is something off with Riley in the final moments. Perhaps Lucaya isnt set in stone after all.

The tweet from the writers went like this:

"Tonight: Ending. Beginning."
Rileys romance ending and Mayas romance/Triangle drama beginning...?

"Tomorrow: Why did you do that?"
Alludes to Riley telling Lucas that Maya likes him which we saw in the previews.

"Sunday: Liar."
Not a damn clue...
UNLESS.. Could this possibly be that Riley is lying to herself and Maya figures it out calling her a liar?

"The story was clear from the pilot. What is the secret of life?"
...People change people as we have been told by Cory!

Is the change permanent? Did Maya cause Riley to feel this way or did Riley legitimately feel this way. And how does Lucas feel about all of this. He just kinda feels like he has no real preference at this point but he likes them both. He has shown to care deeply for Maya and Maya for him. But he has also shown support to and from Riley.

Damnit, I got no clue where this is going. It doesnt feel quite as clear cut quite yet.

I can't really figure out how I felt about this episode tbh. I'm usually only here for the Matthews, and outside of Riley very little of that.

Riley is clearly lying about loving Lucas like a brother for Maya. And Lucas was clearly confused. Maya's character motivation came out of straight up nowhere. But it's fine I guess, I don't particularly care for a ship war in middle school LOL. I do like Riley's characterization, that I actually care about so I'm good lol.

I think the "secret of life" or wtv is the importance of friendship. Riley values her friendship with Maya most of all.

Throughout this trilogy of episodes it seems that Eric and Jack's advice to Riley during Semi Formal will finally come to a head. That makes me very anxious. I don't want any of the friendships to be ruined by the end of this.

Very interesting first episode. I now can't wait for episode two.

loved this episode. the country feel was cool and it seemed more mature then previous episodes with a good storyline going.

i know people dont like the triangle but it feels natural to me, but I've always seen the lucaya chemistry. im not sure exactly where the writers plan to go but i am just gonna try to enjoy whatever happens. it's interesting that riley said she knew that maya thought riley loved lucas like a brother and it was also very clear riley was lying. I'm not sure where the writers are gonna go because they are obviously writing good things for both sides.

i liked seeing riley have confidence in lucas and telling him that he can do it. i love her positivitely, she is so sweet. and he looked so sad when she said she dint have feelings for him in that way.

but i dont think maya leaving meant that maya DIDNT believe in him, she was just scared for him. which said a lot about her feelings too. and i dont think her feelings for lucas came out of nowhere at all. she's been making fun of him for ages and the last few episodes have hinted at some things between them. though i am surprised, i thought it would be lucas first.

one thing i didnt like and thought was weird though was the ending when riley kinda called out maya in front of everyone. why would she do that?

Riley is giving up her feelings for Maya.

But is nobody really asking what Lucas wants?

Yeah so I stayed up til 4am because my recording earlier didn't catch the end and I couldn't wait til morning to see the end :innocent: Now though I have to wait til Sunday to see both parts 2 and 3, silly Canada :facepalm:
