I loved these two together on the show
 I always thought they were the coolest parents on tv at the time. So post away if anyone has a banner post it here.__________________

Yup, they were great parents. I loved them... and heck, they were an awesome couple.

I loved how they would always make up after their fights. They always remembered that they loved eachother.

I loved how even though they got older they had a baby. It proves that they were so in love and great parents because a lot of older couples dont want to deal with it.

I love how they weren't just Cory and Erics parents. They were Shawn's parents to like in the episode after Shawn found out the Mother who raised him wasn't his real Mother and he was so sad saying he didn't have a Mother or a Father. And Alan just looked at him and said "I'll be your Father." and Amy said "You need a Mom? I'm a great Mom. I've got references."

Awww...when Alan yelled at Shawn like he yelled at his own kids, then offered to adopt him. That was so sweet.

I just seen that Cult episode on tv yesterday. I thought Alan and Amy were always great. They seem like the ideal parents!
And what is that about Shawn's mom? The one he knows isn't his mom? What?? I never knew that. I just seen recently the episode where his dad comes back and then she ends up being across the street. So, that wasn't his mother? |

No, it wasn't his blood mother. But Verna (is that her name?) must have got together with Chet right after Shawn was born.
What I always wonder was the the one brother who tried to beat up Cory in the third season, whether he was his brother on his mom or dad's side. Because I'm sure his dad got a round a bit and might have had a few other children, but it could have been his adopted mother. The Cult episode is on of my favorites. I love how Alan and Amy got so mad and protective of Shawn. Like when Alan threw the cult leader up against the wall and threatened to hurt him. That was great. __________________

Yeah, just like a Dad he needed. I like when he lived with Turner. But even so Alan was like a dad to him. Not that Chet was a bad father, he just wasn't around much.
I really had no idea about Shawn's mom. I thought I'd seen all of these about 15 times. I guess not. |
