Riley Matthews is the daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews. Cheerful and responsible, Riley cares about her family and friends. She works hard at school and always tries to do the right thing.

Rowan Blanchard is a talented young actress making a name for herself on this show. She is also known for her intelligence and passion for social justice issues.

"The thing about casting that has changed is that there were tapes that came in from all over the country, every city and town. When you say this was a national casting search, this really was. We looked at just about everybody. I remembered Rowan and how I felt about her when she first came in. I felt like it was Cory Matthews walking into the room. It was our first breath of real honesty, that this was a real girl who was actually growing up. We came to love her quirkiness and naturalness. Rowan instructed us that this is the show we should be doing."

I love everything about it, especially the fact that it shows what made Riley such a joy and source of light.

I just wish we had gotten to see a few more seasons of Riley making the world her own.

I really love how they included all her relationships in it too, she really did have a lot of love in her life, & like you said, she brought a lot of light to it as well

^ I think so too. It would have been great to see her showing her appreciation to each and every person in her life in future seasons. I'm sure she would have showed her appreciation in different ways. Too bad we didn't get a few more of those future seasons.
