^ Yes, it did. I think the triangle should have ended with Rachel telling the guys that she was tired of their competition, and that their dynamic was meant to be a friendship and nothing more.
     Even though I just re-watched that episode, I can't figure out how Eric knew/figured out that Jack and Rachel were together. Do you remember? =) __________________

    What about the part where Eric told the babies that he thought Rachel and Jack were in love with each other? How did he come to that conclusion?    =)__________________

^ Ah. I just re-watched the episode, and I think I found the answer. Jack recognizing that Mr. Feeny was in love with Dean Bolander may have hinted to Eric that Jack and Rachel were in love...

^ I think Eric always recognized that Jack and Rachel wouldn't have risked their group dynamic if they hadn't had deep feelings for each other.

I should have known that. It's so obvious that it's that scene from that episode. Eric looks so confused that Rachel would have granted any request Jack made, and he asked her for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.   __________________

^ Oh, yes. I think Jack knew that the IOU that Rachel gave him was going to hang over their heads and drive Eric nuts until he cashed it in. Jack asking Rachel for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich got them back on the same level again.

^ I know, right? I think Jack didn't wind Eric up, because he knew that Eric was going to keep pestering him about what he was going to ask Rachel for until he actually cashed in his IOU.
