^ Me too. I always loved it when the characters from the original show would drop by. I just wish we had gotten to find out a little bit more about these three characters, especially the status of their bonds since we last saw them together.

^ I agree. TPTB could have clued us in on what this trio was up to with a mention every once in a while. I will forever be disappointed that they only gave us the tiniest of breadcrumbs in Jack's episode.

^ That's true. I wish TPTB had thought to give us a few more Eric/Jack/Rachel goodies. I'm always going to wonder about what they're up and how they've stayed connected to one another.

Me too, it's nice knowing that Eric & Rachel were still close, hopefully Jack got close to both of them again too

^ That's the impression I got in that scene where Riley asked Jack and Eric about the status of their relationships with Rachel, that Jack realized how long it had been since he last saw or spoke to either of his friends so he was planning on making more of an effort to stay in touch with them.

That's what I like to think too, but I would have loved to hear it confirmed onscreen

^ Me too. I most definitely wanted a 'follow-up' episode telling us that they had re-connected after that episode, and that they were in constant contact.

^ I felt that too. TPTB made a point to tell us that Rachel was in touch with Eric but not with Jack, and what that said about the status of their relationships. I think TPTB dropped that nugget on us that they could do a follow-up later on in the series. I wouldn't have cared if that follow-up ended up being a one-line mention telling us that they had been making more of an effort to stay in touch. I just wanted a little something.

Me either, & seeing as Eric did come back again, you'd think that they could have slipped in something like that

^ Oh, that's right! Eric did make another apperance after Girl Meets Semi Formal. TPTB could have given us that nugget about this trio in Girl Meets Goodbye and they didn't. What a wasted opportunity.

Sometimes it felt like the gmw writers just didn't get the importance of some of those old bmw relationships

^ I felt that. I get that TPTB had a tough job to bridge the gap between the original show and the new show, but that didn't mean they had to totally ignore the characters and the dynamics that worked so beautifully, like this trio.
