^ That sounds right. If that had happened, I'm sure Mr. Feeny would have let Cory know that he was going to read A Christmas Carol at the next Christmas party at the Matthews house, no matter what anyone said.

I love that Cory repeated Mr. Feeny's lesson. It's an amazing lesson that everyone should learn.

It is, & you can tell that it meant a lot to Cory & he would try to pass it on toas many people as he could

^ Exactly. I think one of the reasons that Cory passed along the lessons that Mr. Feeny taught him, because he wanted his students to feel the same way about Cory that he felt about Mr. Feeny.

Aw, that's such a sweet moment. They let us know that, despite how often Cory made teaching a challenge for Mr. Feeny, Cory did respect Mr. Feeny.

^ Oh, for sure. I think Mr. Feeny cherished the moments where Cory showed him that he was absorbing the lessons that he was teaching him, or that he respected him. It must have been one of the reasons that made him proud to be a teacher.

^ Oh, yes. All Mr. Feeny wanted and expected from his students was for them to try.

It was, & it was another big part of the reason why Cory came to respect & admire Feeny so much

He did, & I like to think it's part of what led to Cory becoming a teacher himself

^ I think so too. Even though Cory must have known on some level that Mr. Feeny had a positive impact on his students, he didn't really understand it until he got a chance to play the part of a teacher when they made that bet. I wish we had gotten to see the moment where Cory decided that he was going to be a teacher, and the moment where he told Mr. Feeny that that was his plan.
