That scene is one of my favorites. I like when he taught he got Shawn to pay attention at the end too.

^ He did! Maybe Mr. Feeny asked Cory for tips? Okay, that probably didn't happen, but I like to believe that Mr. Feeny respected Cory's style of teaching the class.

I think Feeny would be too proud to ask for tips, but he probably did try to emulate him a little bit when it came to the students like Shawn

That makes more sense. Cory figured out a way to get through to Shawn, since he was a student before he became a teacher. Mr. Feeny must have kept Cory's methods in mind when he wanted to get through to students that he couldn't get through to.

Definitely, & he knew that he had got through to Cory with that lesson, so I bet he was pretty happy about that

& I agree that Feeny probably just told Cory to be himself & gave him the confidence to believe that he would be a good teacher on his own

Aww I bet that is what he told him. Feeny had a way of giving the simplest messages, and making them the most meaningful.

I think so too. It seemed to me that they both learned a little something from that bet.

Mr. Feeny had given his students guidance and confidence whenever they needed it. You can bet that he did it when Cory went to him for advice.


He did do that. He would find just the words to say to make the most impact.

Cory was really so lucky to have Feeny, & he came to realize that over the years

^ I know! When I re-watched the first season, it didn't seem like that would ever happen. Cory seemed to test Mr. Feeny's patience at times, and Mr. Feeny seemed to expect Cory to put more effort in than he wanted to put in. Then you watch a few more seasons, and it's clear that Cory realized that Mr. Feeny had been trying to shape him into the best man he could be.

Definitely, Feeny was always also teaching Cory about how to become a better man, & to make sure that you do good in the world

^ I think Mr. Feeny probably takes a lot of credit for the man that Cory became. Mr. Feeny always found a way to teach Cory the lessons he hoped he would learn...but he did it in such a way that Cory didn't know that he was learning those lessons.
