Even if Cory had taken Amish Farmer up on his offer, what was he going to do after he reached that farmhouse? Was he just going to drop him off there and wave goodbye? It was better that Cory waited for some form of transportation that involved combustion.

It would have been funny if Cory had taken Amish Farmer up on his offer. Cory probably would have hopped off the cart, thanked Amish Farmer for the ride, and then he would have started walking, hoping that that transportation that involved combustion would drive by before too long.
