I was rewatching Texas Part 2 and I noticed another parallel between these two. In the beginning on Pappy Joe's porch when Riley was explaining to Lucas their new relationship as brother and sister she says something like, "We're going to care about what each other has to say for the rest of our lives."

And it reminded me so much of Cory because how many times did Cory say that same phrase in BMW? I still remember in the episode where Cory made Shawn and Topanga go out on a date he says something like, "You're going out on a date to explore your feelings or else it's going to haunt us for the rest of our lives." And then Topanga goes, "Why does everything have to haunt us for the rest of our lives?"

I don't know, I just thought it was funny how similar Cory and Riley think sometimes
