C'mon Alice Fans! Show some love.
Some quotes: Dan: Didn't fancy my sandwiches? Alice: Don't eat fish. Dan: Why not? Alice: Fish piss in the sea. Dan: So do children. Alice: Don't eat children either. * Alice: No one will ever love you as much as I do. Why isn't love enough? * Alice: Where is this love? I can't see it, I can't touch it. I can't feel it. I can hear it. I can hear some words, but I can't do anything with your easy words. * * * * She has some pretty clever lines! |

Awesome film. Natalie's character pretty much owned the film.

I have to agree. She did an awesome job, and the role was so different from the others she has taken.
What is your favorite scene in the movie? |

Add me to the list please! I love this movie so much.
My favorite scene is the one between Larry and Alice in the strip club. So amazing. __________________

I like that scene too, although it just freaks me out sometimes because Natalie seems innocent in most films.
I also like the scene at the very end when we find out about Alice's identity. It just like, "Oh, snap!" Because the Jude Law character can't ever go back and find her. __________________

I like those scenes! However, I think my favorite would have to be when Ann is taking her photoshoot.
I've added you Shannon. |

Re add me to the list!!!
Natalie was great in this movie. I love all the scenes you mention. Other great scene is when she finds out that Dan is cheating on her with Julia Roberts' character and she leaves their apartment. __________________

Welcome to the thread! I've added you.
I like that scene, as well. If anyone could change anything about this film, what would you change? |

Add me! Lovely show, even though I didn't fall "in love" with the show all over again teh last time I watched it. I think it's because the DVD was a pirated copy, and it kept stopping, and after a while I gave up, so the impact of the film wasn't there.
I loved her scenes, but I especially loved the end, where her real identity is revealed and you realise that she was telling Clive Owen the truth the whole time in the strip club and that all of us, like him, were completely suckered, and the lyrics for The Blower's Daughter took on extra significance. Phew! That was a long sentence! What would I change? Honestly, nothing. It was amazing. Maybe I wouldn't have watched it the second time with my mother too, but that's not really the point __________________

i wouldn't really change anything about this movie, because I'm afraid if i would, it would lose the Oscar nominations and awards __________________

I've added you two!
I remember having a discussion here about how we watched it with other people, and I said I got embarras watching it with myself. I wouldn't wanna watch that scene where Clive's character jerking off with my mom... dude, I couldn't even imagine what she would say... I think I wouldn't change anything, either. If it did change, I think it would lose meaning, you know? |

Yes. And maybe it's because I watched the movie and loved it, and I've never seen the play version, but I think it's strange that in the play the ending is so different., and that I'd rather have the movie ending.

I think I prefer the play ending, actually. Mainly because I know the play initially as a play, rather than as a movie. I think it's the tone that Patrick Marber intended, as well - the two tones of the different endings are totally different. I'm used to the play, and the movie's ending connotes a contrary emotion. I still love the movie, though. IMO it's Nat's best and bravest performance.

I think I'd change how Natalie and Jude's characters broke up. It just didn't seem strong enough.
