Off Topic #55: Cause we're getting into that holiday spirit
 

Let's carry on....

not happening unfortunately. my job is on the line. and it's gonna be gone in less than a year. they're relocating my department internationally. coworkers and supervisors are already applying for other jobs both internally as well as externally. and we have to keep the department running till the last day... it's still running but less and less smooth.

That sucks

there's not a lot I can do but to switch jobs internally but no openings have caught my eye yet. so I might need to start looking elsewhere. our big CEO wants to have plants that work in one specific area of expertise and the other department is bigger so they're moving ours. the CEO is thinking about filling his pockets rather than keeping people employed.

I've known about it since the end of September but so far, all our further questions have been kept unanswered.

we're halfway down the week :yay: going to Ikea on Friday.

Jessie, I’m so sorry to hear about it, sounds terrible and of course it must be a complicated situation.

My best friend’s mum passed away on Monday, we had the funeral today and I have been sad and angry and trying to comfort my friend and her daughters.

Margo kept me up last night, currently taking the night shifts cause it's taking a higher toll on Tom, I'm looking forward to a full night sleep but anxious to see if she'll wake up or not.

we're picking our battles currently. it's just too draining otherwise.

We all need a break...

This is my favorite time of year, but I'm so stressed I haven't been able to enjoy it.

Margo is getting her Saint Nicholas gift from us tonight/tomorrow morning. he's expected to visit at school on Monday.

and then.... we are setting up our tree on Monday here so we can have at least a few weeks of Christmas spirit around here. it's gonna be a little weird cause we haven't put one up since Margo was born in 2019. and I'm still working on our Christmas cards to send out.

Definitely, less stress would be great right now

And a tree is a must... any tree will do but you have to decorate it.

She learned about Christmas last year but she’s fully in the moment and is now more understanding of why we are decorating.
